Unfortunately they had a good idea and then were unable to flesh it out as much as it probably should have been so it ends up being kind of lackluster. I played all the way through my PC copy and I suppose I got the enjoyment out of the $5 I paid for it new. Just don't expect a masterpiece so you're able to enjoy what they did do.
Yeah I saw it on one of Mark's Classic Game Room reviews and thats basically what he said, but after the 40% off it ended up being about $9 so I think it's has to be worth that for it's interesting concept. Watch this game end up being some rare expensive cult classic game in 20 years
Been a long time since I've posted, so this will sum up the last 6 months of notable finds.

Game gear Games: Xmen, Double Dragon, Power Rangers the movie, and Virtua fighter.
Yesterday I picked up Halo 1 and 2 (Both CIB) for $4 each. Then at the end of the day I picked up Skies of Arcadia Legends CIB for $1! All the other gamecube games were sunfaded to the point you could barely read what game it was. This one was perfect! Been waiting to play this game forever and now I can.
I went out, nice and early to see if there were any yard sales. It was Bone dry out there, on our way home, we stumbled upon a modest yard sale with very slim pickings. I was going through the toy box and stumbled upon an Nes Max controller (great condition), after asking if there were any other video game related things, she directed me to a very nice Wii balance board with a rubber cover. All in all I paid $5 for the two pieces. NES Max Controller- $2 Wii Balance board(with rubber overlay)- $3
Great deal!! IMO

That is really a great list of Finds, congrats!

Awesome time to kill em LOL. I just got back and destroyed em! Another ten per cent with power up rewards. Seriously, this is the time to get in there and clean them out. Finally bought that Prime Trilogy reprint at 25 bucks I cannot complain. Wish they had more games I needed.
Where is CRT? He is probably out hitting them up right now!
I'm here still recovering from my marathon multiple store hunt yesterday! Good price on the Metroid Trilogy Reprint Refurbish Center Case Swap. Really saddens me how many tin cases were tossed in an effort to make the trade in game "new" for resale as used. However, good score at that price!
Wall Of Rant, be sure to have coffee on hand before reading.
I have been buying bought one or two games at a time and mostly cheapies so never bothered trying to combine the buy2get1free deal. There were a couple more expensive games that were tempting me, a certain red cased game selling used for $26.99. The same game new was going for $29.99 so undecided if should wait for a possible Selects or screw up not getting it before a price hike such as Kirby Return To Dreamland. After picking up the Dog Football a few days ago decided to go for it and refund repurchase to get the minimum 6 game 40 percent off deal.
I ended up going to multiple Gamestops to fix combined purchased games to CIB and also keep adding more games to get them all at the 40% off deal. Every Gamestop would simply scan the receipt for the refund repurchase and then ring up the add on games. This was really going great though the total price started to hit my wallet. The very last Gamestop in my driving tour of the county did something different. Instead of simply scanning the bar code, the employee started keying EVER SINGLE GAME in for a refund then repurchase.
CRTGAMER - "Why are you keying in all my games I bought at the other stores? All the other stores would just scan the old receipt and just ring up the additional games"
GS Employee - "This is a different city with a higher TAX CHARGE. I have to charge you the higher amount for all the games to get you the 40% off on the games you buy here."
After all the games keyed and the new total presented, was surprised how much more it cost. I was expecting to pay around twenty something and was charged over thirty five on the difference!
CRTGAMER - "Wait a minute, cancel this transaction, I'll just go back to another Gamestop that has the cheaper rate."
Left the store, but I really wanted two of the expensive games that were CIB crisp with Club Nintendo points still inside. Suspect they were retag new to used games. After walking over to Target hunting for the clearanced Kirby Dreamland (no luck again), I suspect now that loganm187 might be pulling my leg. I walked back into Gamestop with a renewed vigor to get at least a couple other Nintendo mascots. Besides maybe my twenty dollar calculation was off?
CRTGAMER - "Okay I changed my mind, I would like to purchase the games, but do not think it is right to pay a higher tax for games I did not buy here. I know it is the only way to get the 40% off on games bought here though. JUST REFUND THREE GAMES, to meet the 6 game requirement since I am already buying three games here. Oh and refund the CHEAPEST 3 GAMES on the receipt"
Employee once again keyed in the games and presented me with a HIGHER BILL, stating I would still get a better price if refunding them all. I am now thinking that bastard really wants all the games to show as a sell under his name. I did not like this since I had bought some of the other games which were rares from one of my newer hidden Gamestop stores with a great staff. Seemed kind of sneaky to take away their sale. I mentioned hidden store because a less then a year old location that has only a small Gamestop sign on a huge Starbucks building. You really have to look thru the crowds of $5.00 coffee drinkers (drive thru and outdoor seating) to see the small Gamestop store buried in the back. The employees theren really take care of me.
CRTGAMER - "What happened? This should cost less since less games are getting the higher tax charge?!"
GS Employee - "Combining them all will get you the best price."
CRTGamer - "You mean there is an increase over the 40% if more games are bought?"
Employee mumbled something again about total cost savings, so I told him to just go ahead. A Fourth time rekeying all the games wasting another ten minutes on a Saturday with the customer line growing. I now see what he did, some of the games had a slightly better (by pennies) then 40% to price drop. He might have gone the other way in the earlier estimates that he tried to charge?
Try the final prices I listed below with this handy calculator.

Oh screw it, even with the slight deviations, happy with the prices. Everything is at least the 40 percent off even though a one percent increase in sales tax. Still awake after the accounting work? Okay, on to the game list.
I placed tags for great finds and tags for unbelievable higher online prices for the games listed below. Crazy how the two low print run and seemingly regular games cost so much online.
Wii Alien Syndrome - $2.99 $1.79 Converted from the original Arcade to a somewhat Twin Stick mode! Well not quite since there is no Classic Controller option for true twin stick. The Wimote pointing to the screen spins the overhead viewed player around; the Nunchuck controls movement direction keep faith to "Robotron" shoot one direction while moving in another. Same control as in Geometry Wars which also has the Classic Controller Twin Stick mode. Ah well, Alien Syndrome still a fun game for a mindless shoot everything that moves explore the corridors.
Wii Donkey Kong Country Returns $29.99 $17.95 No idea why the gorilla country series never made a Gamecube release, happy to get the Wii version finally. Same great music and with upped sideways platform screens of the SNES version.
Wii F1 2009 Formua 1$39.9919.99 $11.96 A very pricey title at Amazon! This game at Gamestop was RETAGGED FROM NEW TO USED! The new tag was on the binder edge dating from Nov-17-2009! The used tag shows the game on the shelf since Aug-07-2013, was very lucky to get this! F1 Formula 1 had a one time print run for sale exclusive at only Gamestop! It even supports an actual Wii Logitech (not Wiimote mount) driving controller. Since there is also a Classic Controler option, with a Mayflash adapter I can use a variety of Playstation driving Controlllers.
Never even heard of the exclusive Logitech MOUNTED driving wheel for the Wii. Evidently it also utilizes forced feedback and ANALOG Paddles mounted under the wheel for gas and brakes!
Only four Wii games are supported though.
Need for Speed: Undercover by Electronic Arts Formula One 2009 by Codemasters SpeedZone by Detn8 Games Dirt 2 by Codemasters
Wii Fortune Street $19.99 $11.96 A combination of Monopoly and Mario Party games? Put out by SQUARE ENIX, this looks like it could be fun once an effort made to dive into it.

Thanks for pointing this game out. Only two Gamestops here had the Dog Football game. One in a generic case and the other CIB. I really can't believe I bought a Sports game for nine bucks. Oh why not, looks like a weird game to try. Bark go long, Woof punt or dig!
Wii Jerry Rice Nitus Dog Football $9.99 5.98 So freeken bizarre had to buy it, an uncommon title. Really looks like the worst shovel ware title ever, but so different. The employee commented that Jerry must really be desperate.
Wii Princess Isabella $4.99 $2.99 Also a bit pricey at EBay and Amazon. A sort Myst and I Spy game, but intriguing enough for adults to play with just one more puzzle to solve. Really like how the map allows instant jump to rooms when discovering another key to go back and unlock a room.
Wii No More Heroes 9.99 $5.98 Have part two forever, finally decided to add this before it is hard to find. Probably go up in price due to the unique gameplay obscurity as in Gamecube Killer 7?
Super Mario Bros - $29.99 $17.95 Have played the WiiU demo at a Nintendo Club show and been eye balling the Wii version off and on since. Latest price is now $29.99 new with Gamestop selling it at $26.99 used. Wallymart currently has it for store pickup at $26.17; in case anyone missed the Gamestop sale. Levels start out similiar to the classic the NES version. Hey, Mario can now fast run and do crazy leaps! I can see "SNES Ghost Goblins" inspiration of the moving ground changing the levels. The powerups such as flying Yoshi also a kick. With my modded Wiimote to wired in NES Controller, this game is getting a lot of action. If only the special move was not a shake the Wiimote though.
darsparx wrote:I think the only thing besides maybe a exclusive Nintendo first party or two, that I may be missing, that I might be missing a authentic Japanese type game(like Katamari's oddness level) for the wii. I really want to add some more odd titles to my collection.
Tornado Outbreak - $2.99 $1.79 Well it does not have the twinstick tank control of Katamari, but the same collect everything and grow aspect. Control a Tornado (no kidding) with a western music theme collecting chickens, cows, tractors and buildings while staying in the shadows. Too crazy a concept and actually plays well! Surprised Kansas censors have not stepped up raising a fuss the wind destruction about this game.
In the picture below, See if you can spot the game listed at $244 on Amazon!
I didn't read the full wall of text, but it seems the gist is buying games, taking them to another GS to get refunds so you could them purchase them all at once to try and get the bigger discount? Is that correct?
Man, if that were fast food, that's the kind of crap that pisses off less moral minimum wage people and might make them spit in your food. Good luck getting any of them to do anything nice for you in future.
dsheinem wrote:that's a lot of text for some shitty games
That isn't fair. All the Nintendo titles in there are solid fun. The Formula 1 game and the Princess game are also both very good - aside being rare. Tornado Outbreak loses it's appeal after a couple minutes as it's the same thing over and over.
