What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Michelle Pfeiffer was one of the most gorgeous women on earth in 1994 (and heck she probably still is today). James Spader is always fun and Weird. Wolf is directed by Mike Nichols who directed the understated comedy The Graduate.
I read this and thought, "How have I not heard of this." Then I saw it was labeled a "romantic horror" movie and figured that was why. That said, I think I may look into this.

Heh, I should build a collection of werewolf movies. Just because.
I don't know about that one...I didn't think it was all that great (Michelle Pfeiffer notwithstanding).

For werewolf movies, stick with:

An American Werewolf in London
Ginger Snaps
The Howling
Late Phases
The Wolfman

I have also read that:

Bad Moon
The Company of Wolves
Dog Soldiers
Silver Bullet

are good, but I have not seen any of them.

Also, skip the Underworld films. Kate Beckinsale is beautiful, but the first one, at least, is incredibly boring. (My wife pointed out that the term for werewolves in that movie, Lycans, is a homophone for lichens, and she then noted that watching Lycans is not quite as exciting as watching lichens.)

Of these I've seen An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, The Company of Wolves, Dog Soldiers, and Silver Bullet, and yeah, they're all worth watching. I've also seen the first two Underworld movies, and while I enjoy Beckinsale in leather, I generally disliked them.

Late Phases and Bad Moon are in the mail, along with Wolfen.

There are also quite a few others to check out, such as the Universal Monsters run: The Wolf Man, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, House of Frankenstein, and House of Dracula(and technically Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein). I have yet to see Werewolf of London. I have also seen the oldest known surviving werewolf film, Wolf Blood, though it isn't a straight werewolf story like the rest of these and instead involves a man receiving a blood transfusion from a wolf and taking on some of its behaviors.

I know I'm weird. I just really like werewolf movies.

I actually like this one a lot (even if it does play a lot like Blind Fury). It from some of the same people who created Stake Land and We Are What We Are, both of which you should watch if you haven't already.

Seriously guys, it's 2016. If you haven't watched Stake Land yet, there is something wrong with you all.

I spell it Warwilf. At least, that's what my Xbox Live name is, derived from that movie.

I very seriously considered "Zap Rowsdower" for my user name. I often regret not choosing it.

Secret Life of Pets.

At it's best when it's making jokes about basic animal behavior. About a 1/3 in it develops a plot of forgotten pets wanting revenge on humans, which involves a cute little white bunny voiced by a yelling black guy, which is sort of funny for his first line, and then goes on for another hour. Then there's a lot of chases, explosions, fights, and general seizure inducing chaos. Louis CK is solid though.
