I agree, it is really great and one of the better anime's out there. I've only seen half of the series but even that is worth it (I finished the manga so I kinda stop watching it since it was the same as the manga). The only complaint I have is the first part of the series moves a bit fast since it is covering stuff from the first anime series and there isn't as many "epic" moments or drawn out story.catnip wrote:Wispy is right - FMAB is one of the better shows I've seen, period. It's amazing.Wispmage wrote:Definitely worth a watch. Can't recommend it highly enough.Soldier Blue wrote:I might go for something with a little more longevity like FMA brotherhood, but haven't decided.
An example I can give is Liore, the original anime was two episodes long and had a bit more dramatic moments and the storyline for Liore was done better for TV while the new anime felt rushed since it was all one episode long and was pretty much a scene by scene of the manga panels. I don't mind adding extra scenes or drawing out an arc if done right which I felt the first anime series did better for some parts.
That isn't to say that the anime has problems, as I still think it is quiet a great anime and holds up on its own and should be watched but it is just the first part rubs me the wrong way is all. My complaint on it is like saying something is ruined because they forgot to add a clock in one scene, so don't mind me.
