so I will say that I can concur with those who talked about there being a bit of a wall once you get to much higher levels. Meaning, I'm playing through the Lunatic campaign now, and because story battles are taking 15, 16 stamina each you end up in a situation where you can only play a few before running out. Of course I could pay an orb to refill my stamina, but that'd be silly since I'm trying to GAIN orbs to summon more characters. So yeah, I basically do my few battles nightly and then if I think of it check my stamina an hour or two later to see if I can do like one more.

Also, since leveling slows down, you have fewer characters who will be powerful enough to fight those highest-level battles, and you can't just go from one battle to the next. You really have to grind the Training Tower and try desperately to keep everyone alive so they can keep their experience gain.

yeah that's a good point. Early in the game leveling up is constant.

I'm not really complaining though. I still love this game and play it pretty much daily for 20 mins or whatever.

I disagree with Marurun - the upgrade to 5* is where it is at. That is why they made it cost so much (each upgrade seems to multiply by 10 the feathers - you will be swimming in badges by the time you have enough feathers).

It isn't just the stat boost, you get access to the top abilities. It may differ a bit from character to character, but in the Arena you will want to have the 5* versions.

Which is why I'm currently so conflicted as I really want to upgrade several 3* to 4*, but I also really want that 5* Robin (I only have two 5* heroes so far, but at least one of them is Takumi and the other one is Camilla).

Also, nice of them to give 3k feathers!

About the upcoming event, I saw the line-up and my first thought was "Lucina is going to win hands down". She is very popular and lots of people re-rolled for her. I think my only losses in the Arena so far were to teams with two 5* Lucina (and two other 5 star heroes most likely). I have my Blue Robin but at his 4* self even together with Takumi it is a struggle to kill two Lucina.

Then I realized everyone has Sharena, she is fairly popular and good enough to be worth upgrading to 5* eventually, and she has weapon advantage over pretty much the whole gauntlet. She also faces Lucina on round 1.

So I'm probably joining Sharena's army, and I'm fairly tempted to upgrade her to 4* and level her up for the bonus. I wonder if people are going to think twice before having 3 army leaders against 3 army leaders - Lucina for example could probably defeat Sharena if people have Axe users as the people joining in against Sharena (even though you lose the voting boost, you win the battle).

Also, given that we get the representative hero from a friend, I will put one of my 5* lev 40 guys at the leftmost slot of my Arena team for you guys. Probably Takumi as if I put on Camilla you will be using her against a sea of Red army leaders unless you happen to support Lucina.

Please also put one of your strong heroes there for me ;)

Voting Gauntlet is up! Who are you supporting?

Also banners for princes and princesses. I pulled red on the princesses as there is focus for both Lucina and Eirika (both very good), and got a 5* Eirika on my first Summon (not one of the top versions, but she will be an excellent buffer regardless), a couple of not so good 4* and a couple of 3* (twice Stahl which I already had).

Sending home two Stahls finally put me above 20k feathers, so I now have enough to promote one to 5* and get my four 5* heroes for Arena. Just wondering if I should promote Sharena or Green Robin (Arena bonus) to 4* first and wait a couple more weeks for the 20k spending.

Well, I left Camilla in my left-most slot for the Gauntlet event. At first I thought she might be overrun as Ivo said, but I've come across a lot of Robbins, so she's come in handy.

Just a tip for those who end up with her on your team and don't have her: she's got Darting Blow, which gives her a speed bonus of +6 when she attacks first. So depending on who you're up against, she's actually got a good chance of taking out a lot of Red characters if you manage to hit first. I've taken out several Marths and Lucinas already this way.

But if they hit her first, you might be SOL

last night I realized I had like 8 of those things that restore feathers. So I played a LOT of Arena matches while watching TV. Basically was a good way to work on grinding without spending Stamina. I'm stuck on Ch. 8-5 of Lunatic right now and really need to get some leveling done.

Camilla is very good offensively but weak defensively - she has the Spd penalty from her Brave Axe. On offense she gets the Spd boost, and will attack at least twice (brave weapon) before getting countered.

Noise: those Crests restore swords for the Arena. I'd say don't spend them all, but yes, occasionally good to use up.

If anyone here is on my friend list and has Heroes from Sibling bonds, if you put them as your lead characters, people using the voting gauntlet can have a shot at completing the KO with that Hero quest for some Crystals.

Not that crystals are very relevant, but still.

why would you NOT use them? Are they also used for something else?
