Nice review. Damnit! You're making me want to finally finish my current Sonic 3&K playthrough. And I have to get my entire apartment packed up this weekend! Right now my save state was last used... in December. I had started it after writing my Sonic 1 and 2 reviews... then I decided to maybe write about something else besides Sonic. And I just haven't returned to it yet. I just don't find it to be a very compelling game, to be honest. It doesn't have that same warm, breezy feeling like Sonic 2. The entire game just sort of bounces back and forth between on-rails set pieces and frustrating platforming segments... whereas Sonic 2 managed to find a sweet spot in between.

I've been meaning to play that Knuckles game on 32X forever...

Thanks guys. I don't know if I mentioned it in my review, but my bloody cartridges don't work for Sonic 3 & Knuckles anymore when they're combined (they work as separate cartridges though). I think I got it to work like once, but otherwise I just get a blank screen 99% of the time. Maybe the top cartridge slot of S&K is clogged with dirt. I'll have to try cleaning the contacts some time.

So I just played the Sonic Jam version.

since the gloves came off with Revenge Of The Sith, I have no problem stating that Sonic 3 & Knuckles stinks.

I love Sonic, 2, and CD. But 3 and S&K... meh.

Ico is amazing tho.

Sonic 2 is ridiculously superior to Sonic 3 & Knuckles, so it doesn't bother me too much when people hate it.
