I like AJ so I would also like to give Harvest Moon a thumbs up.
Daytona is a good shout as well. It's pretty important for a number of reasons and is fairly well ported these days.
And I think the COD/MOH month could work even though I never cared much for COD back then.
Don't care about horror so no opinion there.

Yeah, and it is an awesome game. Was it one of the first games with a morality system? I'm pretty sure I was evil when I played it.noiseredux wrote:I think KOTOR needs to stay. Its a wrpg and it's Star Wars and it's a classic I haven't played. I am excite. We have done a lot more 8 and 16bit rpg's in the past. I like the change if pace.

Ultima IV is the first that had a well defined morality system. In fact, the whole point of Ultima IV was to be "good" in all the axes it tracked.Lazer wrote:Yeah, and it is an awesome game. I would hope you beat KOTOR with an avatar like that! haha! I think it is a good choice and I will concede my want for Morrowind to be included. There is always the next year. A lot of people haven't played it on the forums here suprisingly. I myself went evil in the game....even though it pained me to do it. I felt so bad letting those kids throw rocks at that stupid Ithorian.Lazer wrote: No, good call. I just named Crystalis as a kind-of obscure NES RPG. Anything similar to that (NES, Master System, or Atari RPGs(if they exist)) would be better that the current RPG picks IMO. I've beaten KoTOR a few times and have no interest in Pokemon. But then again, I've never played it.

It is one of the few star wars games I have beaten... actually, I think it's the only one. I'm just a huge fan of The Empire Strikes BackBogusMeatFactory wrote:I would hope you beat KOTOR with an avatar like that!

WHAT?! We played Dark Forces a while back. You gotta catch up!Lazer wrote:It is one of the few star wars games I have beaten... actually, I think it's the only one. I'm just a huge fan of The Empire Strikes BackBogusMeatFactory wrote:I would hope you beat KOTOR with an avatar like that!
It is pretty normal for those of us who have beaten a particular game or have no interest in that particular one but do have interest in another game in a series to play that instead. For instance, Oddworld doesn't do much for me...but Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath does. I might finally sit down with that game while everyone else plays the original. While we play KOTOR, you could try out KOTOR 2.
Re: Together Retro 2016 Nomination Thread OMG!
Indeed. During Quake month I played the second expansion for Quake and Quake 2.

Maybe I'll play some Rogue Squadron and watch The Ewok Adventure that month. Haven't seen that in a while
Is KoTOR 2 as good as the first one? And, is it backwards compatible on Xbox 360? Hmmm... this could be the excuse I need to buy an original Xbox.

Kotor 2 isn't as good in most peoples eyes. There's some interesting stuff story wise and with the gameplay but it also feels rushed and was pretty buggy if I remember. I wouldn't recommend getting an oXbox for it. The Steam release is probably the best bet as the game has been patched extensively irc in recent years.
