Man... I wrote a nice scathing post, but I am just removing it and replacing it with this. Wclem made me regret it with such kind and compassionate words. I was wrong and admit it.

TG-16 games are expensive because the system didn't sell well so there aren't a ton of them out there, and the people who want them are generally willing to pay more for them. I don't LIKE the pricing, but there is nothing objectively wrong with it.
I repeat, there is nothing objectively wrong with the current high prices for TG-16 games. Annoying, yes. Immoral or wrong, no.
If someone wants to collect, they should do so. They should not have to worry about what anyone else thinks of them or their habit. They shouldn't have to worry about what it does to the market for that aging, limited-availability good.
I've already come to terms with the fact that I will never own Magical Chase for the TG-16. I have an EverDrive, so if I want to play the game I can. Flash carts are for people who aren't "collectards."
If you insist on wanting a physical object when perfectly serviceable flash carts are available, that makes you a "collectard," too.

Having health problems of my own helps me better understand those with problems. Whether they be the same or different problems is irrelevant. It is not being politically correct not using retard or other forms of it. It is simply being respectful of people who cannot help what has happened to them. I am losing some of the fine motor control in my hands. It looks like a 5 year old does my handwriting for me. Would you also call me retarded?
I think this is more appropriate: "foolish people, with foolish money, do foolish things." Sadly I see people bragging about how much money they paid for something rather than how much they saved. These kind of buyers will cause a price rise on an already short supplied product. When the novelty drops off so will the prices. It always happens on every collectible. It comes and goes and never lasts. Buy a flash cart and wait for people to lose interest.
Lastly, just have some respect for other people. Being polite and having compassion for others will gain you so much more in life. I live by the motto that we all write checks with our actions and sooner or later someone else will cash them. Thankfully most of mine have been cashed to my benefit and I am truly blessed in life.
My 2 cents worth...................

If you insist on using a physical console when perfectly serviceable emulation is available, does that make you a "hardwaretard"?

No one is an anything-tard. let's all just cool our jets. We all like video games and should just seriously keep our talk about that. If a person wants to spend money or not it is fine. If people want to go physical or digital that is fine too. People just want to play games and sometimes we play the wrong type of game... the blame game and it can only hurt other folk.

Well put wclem with the part in quotes, a nicer version of what I put there basically. It not the collector that is the problem, if you hold onto anything in life outside of necessities you are one. 3 hours ago I already put it there the TG16 is a limited resource from same period stuff like NES/SNES so the price isn't that shocking, more so just the interest if anything as plenty enough blew it off for years. I still believe you can rationally collect these days for any system, but it would be a slow crawl and with the expectation that some of it just isn't happening outside of dumb luck with out being the person feeding the problem.

I'm not a fan of appending -tard onto the end of anything, because it's disrespectful, but effectively, yes. I like hardware. I like carts, too, when I can afford them. I will settle for flash when I cannot. It's not a problem. It just is.

I would also like to say that the onion did in fact interview me.

Re: How's your TurboGrafx 16/PC Engine Going on
I used to get a tinge of upsetness when I stumbled upon a game I couldn't afford but now I just kind of chuckle and say "lol looks like I won't be getting that!" and move on to something else.
Oh, and speaking of dem prices, I said I was done with North American TG16 games, but I decided I need Ninja Spirit, Military Madness, and Blazing Lazers. After that I'm done I promise!
