just got a new shipment of Super Famicom Games from a buddy who lives in Japan who buys stuff off Amazon.jp for me. I've turned to importing the super famicom versions of games to fill holes in my collection since snes game prices have gotten out of control. None of these games costed more than $25 and that was Hagene but compare that to the price of the SNES version and thats one hell of a saving and they are both basically the same ROM. Super Bonk 2 was 50 yen (plus the 300 yen to ship it). Kirby Dreamland 3 was only $8. Most super famicom games are still very cheap in Japan and the carts play just fine on an American console with a very quick easy modification (just need a pliers and a bit of elbow grease).

Nice stuff Ninja.

I have a couple more JRPGs on the way from Japan: Mystic Ark (the sequel to The 7th Saga) and Kouryu Densetsu Villgust.

I'll admit I don't know much about the second one, but I love the 90s anime art on the cover.

Is there a guide on this site for playing SFC games on an NA console?

I don't think so.

I like this guide though:

Some may find it excessive, but I recommend opening the console and cleanly shaving down the tabs as opposed to just trying to yank 'em out the cart slot.

I just use a needle nose pliers and grabbed the tabs and rocked them back and forth, eventually they break off nice and clean

Another SNES gem is First Samurai, a port of the Amiga game of the same name.
