Papoose tore him a new one. If you haven't heard it, listen, it's crazy (and hilarious).

And if you're underestimating Joell Ortiz. He's under the radar, but if you listen to his response it's top notch:

King Los' isn't bad, but in the end he starts kissing others rapper asses

I will post when more good ones come out. The links for the cassidy and lupe responses are a couple pages back.
I couldn't make it through a single one of those. Some of the jokes/slams weren't bad, but the rapping and the music were weaksauce.

I've been listening to a lot of Public Enemy lately. I was a huge huge huge fan of them when I was in like Jr. High and High School. But I kind of stopped listening after Muse Sick-n-Hour Mess Age... I remember really liking the title-track single to He Got Game, but that was the first PE album I didn't pick up.

Anyway, hearing Apocalypse 91 for the first time in who knows how many years was just mind-blowing.

Now you're kinda speaking my language as that was one of my favs in high school, fear of a black planet and earlier anyway. Nothing beats 90's rap. Or maybe i'm just getting to old to appreciate today's rap, i didn't care for kendrick lamar's last cd and don't get where all the hype is coming from.

I love both classic Public Enemy (e.g. Fear) and the new Kendrick Lamar album. I'd probably put both in a "Top 25" rap albums ever...

I grew up on hip hop. I have no preference for old vs. new.

But yeah, the first 5 PE albums were all ones I was really into when I was younger. They def have such a specific sound to them. Bomb Squad was incredible on production.

"Yo! Bumrush The Show" and "It Takes A Nation Of Millions..." were on constant rotation in '87/'88 for me - I still have the lyrics from "Public Enemy No. 1" go round and round my head every now and then...but then BDP's "Criminal Minded" and "By All Means Necessary" and Ultramagnetic's "Critical Beatdown" and Jungle Brothers "Straight Out The Jungle" all led on from them - BDP may well have been earlier, but P.E. were definitely my "in". Oh, and the 12" version of "Eric B. is President"! A-maze-ing

Concerning the recent Kanye twitter feud.

...in short, the author thinks Kimmel's parody of the interview contained hints of racism.
