My Goodwill rarely has PC games and when they do it's usually those shoddy little compilation packages. I will say though, that when the other thrift stores around here get in good PC games they are almost always in excellent condition (And cheap too. What I found today only cost me $1 each). Make the jokes you will about the "master race", but PC gamers take excellent care of their stuff.

Only two of 'em are hooked up. The rest live in the closet or basement, unfortunately.

I had a copy of Two Worlds (PC) arrive from Amazon today. The game was 1 cent... plus $4.99 shipping.

Also stopped by the Video Game Exchange (Augusta, Maine) and picked up a couple of Genesis games - Dragon's Revenge (cart & box) for $8 and NHL Hockey (cart only) for 95 cents.

Later at Goodwill I snagged X-COM: UFO Defense (PC-DOS) for $2. Overall, a decent outing.

Games Purchased 2013

Previous games acquired this year:

2. Persona 3 Portable - PSP
3. Mimana: Iyar Chronicles - PSP
4. Gungnir - PSP
5. Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time - PSP
6. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together - PSP
7. The 3rd Birthday - PSP
8. Crimson Gem Saga - PSP
9. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - PSP
10. Ys I & II Chronicles - PSP
11. N.O.V.A. - PSMini
12. Dungeon Hunter Alliance - PS3 Digital
13. Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower - PSP
14. Lumines: Puzzle Fusion - PSP
15. Street Fighter Zero 2 - SAT JPN Import
16. Shin Megami Tensei - Super Famicom

16.a. Shin Megami Tensei Box, Manual, Inserts
17. Shining the Holy Ark - SAT JPN Import
18. Sakura Taisen - SAT JPN Import
19. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoners: Souls Hackers - SAT JPN Import
20. Blue Seed - SAT JPN Import

Decided to grab a few of the cheaper Saturn imports since I bought an Action Replay and realized I could use my credit card points on Amazon. Looking forward to picking up some of the other Japanese exclusives during the year. I've been playing a lot more first-person turn-based RPGs in the last couple months than I have in probably my entire life.

Make sure to always give those shoddy compilation packages a second look. As I wrote about here you may be surprised to see what's included in some of them.

I remember that post! :D

But, alas, I have yet to find anything of significance included in the thrift store's multitude of Mahjong collections

Picked these up yesterday.

PC ENGINE Best Collection: Soldier Collection (1280 yen)
PC ENGINE Best Collection: Ginga Ojosama Densetsu Collection (980 yen)
Radirgy Noa Massive (1280 yen)
Densha de GO! FINAL (2980 yen)

I FINALLY found a copy in the wild of Densha de GO! FINAL at a reasonable price.
Most game shops mark up its price due to its popularity and mild scarcity.
