There's something odd about knowing that the man that made your little daughter's favorite video game celebrated by eating an eclair out of a stripper's ass crack. Somehow that just doesn't feel right to me.
Given the current MLP fanbase, the primary target group for My Little Pony games these days is young men. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing would over time start to get treated the same way seemingly infantile manga and anime is handled in Japan.

Gameloft's side of the story:

Sounds a bit like a cover in an attempt to avoid legal action from employees, but people in body paint aren't even censored on television; I'm still not understanding how it's suddenly become full topless nudity.

lolno. Just because the fanbase has convinced themselves of that doesn't mean it's even close to true.
Reminds me of my toy collecting friend trying to insist that all action figures, legos, toy cars, etc aren't actually made for children anymore and are targeted mainly at collectors.

Haha yup.
I know tons of 5 year old girls who like My Little Pony. I don't know a single "brony" outside of the internet.

I get what you guys are saying, but I know three bronies IRL and only one little girl who likes the show.
Maybe that's because little girls feel less like they need to broadcast their fandom, or maybe it's that I don't hang out with little girls.

Little girls don't post on nerdy message boards either.

Guess what kind of people make those games? Bronies. There's
a lot of brony fan game projects around these days, been so for quite a long time. I actually think that the whole fad will die out before the MLP MMORPG will be completed.
The people who make MLP:FiM know damn well that the series has a huge fan following, and it's a way too fanatic and large demographic to ignore. It's not little girls who'll pay obscene (we're talking CIB EarthBound times 2-4 here) amounts of money for some collectible pony figure (not to mention
that other stuff).

Throwing a few bones towards the brony audience =/= the target audience is bronies.
