Saddly, I doubt we will never see elegent & silent hardware like the Saturn or GC/Wii ever again.

I folded and bought a refurbed XBox from EB for AU$39.
Got it soft modded, and grabbed all the Smilebit titles (Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio Future, Gunvalkyrie). Also Ninja Gaiden Black.
I have no interest in XBMC or MAME. I've got a games room full of arcade machines (including a MAME cabinet) and a MythTV box that does all my PVR and HTPC stuff. So the XBox is for games only. I'm only after exclusives (I've got a PS2 in a candy cabinet with most of the multi-platform titles already).
I'll be going through the XBox Hidden Gems article:
