Ok, so I think I've got a finalized version of the list, not including all alternate versions of the games(there are a few for SegaNet, but I think I'll be cutting them. Also, the Virtua Fighter character disk things aren't included). But for the most part, this is it.

In case you're still considering Tactical Fighter, I would vote for not including it.
Otherwise, I've found one other game...Suiko Enbu ~Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty~. It is the prequel to Fuun Saiki.
I love these lists of yours. Well, except the Nintendo ones since I have almost no experience with those systems.

Hahaha, not a problem Doc. I realize the Nintendo 64 one hasn't exactly generated a lot of interest(though if you import, there are a few decent fighters on it). I suppose next I'll sit down and start working on a Dreamcast list.
Thanks for the head's up, too. I decided to not include Tactical Fighter, and I also cut Hokuto no Ken. Also if I remember right, Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty came out in the US as Dark Legend, so I've already got it.
Eventually I want lists of every fighter on every console. It's not as tough as it sounds, since fighters didn't really make it to consoles until Nintendo started dominating in the mid-80s. But this way, in case anybody ever wants a fighter suggestion, I can just throw one out(plus I'm using it to track my current collection of fighters... Hey, it helps).
So, after Dreamcast, what lists would you guys like to see? Genesis/Megadrive? PS1? 3DO? Maybe even a handheld? I've got quite a few choices.

It seems there is confusion amongst those internet dwellers.
This site appears to think this is the first game (without a US release):
http://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-gam ... u-JPN.htmlHere's the sequel; note the Dark Legend US release:
http://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-gam ... i-JPN.htmlBut then most other places agree with you, and that Dark Legend was the original game ported over.
Still other places claim they are essentially the same game, only one is pumped up speed-wise, and has two new characters. Could the confusion come from the fact that the two Japanese games are so similar and the US version is easily associated with either? How fast is Dark Legend in gameplay? That seems to be the defining answer.
After looking more into it, I think those links above must be wrong and you are right. Sorry!
Okay, this seems to clear it up. Dark Legend was a slightly fixed port of the first game.

Do you have plan to flesh out the lists with mini-reviews?

Wouldn't that be far too long for anyone to ever read?

Well, I wouldn't want anything lengthy for all of them, but maybe a sentence or two for most of them. Just enough to give you an ideas of what to expect. Maybe we should see if we can track down youtube clips for them....

I can. Do you think I should start turning these into articles for the site? I actually was considering sitting down and doing some full write-ups someday, but that would be a while.
I want to do a few more guides similar to what I did with the SNES, where I pick five domestic titles or series that really stand out as well as five that really stink and discuss them. Plus I can do that with imports as well. In fact, I'd been thinking about sitting down and doing a thing about Nintendo 64 fighters and how good some of the imports were.
Heck, to be totally honest I was considering creating a website purely about fighters and writing an in-depth review of a different fighting game every couple of weeks. I doubt it would be very popular since I'd be going for older titles more often than recent releases, but I figured it would be kind of cool. Sort of a "what fighter is Ack playing right now" kind of thing. Everything from Battle Fantasia to Warrior. If I stick strictly to titles I own at 1 review every two weeks, it would still take me more than two years to review every title I own. Currently I've got 77 fighters...
Shoot, what do you guys want to see? While I've got a personal interest in the genre, this stuff is also for you. What suggestions do you all have?

Also, I've received a different answer about Dark Legend from Yakumo over at Segagaga Domain. I sent him the list to look over and he came back and basically said that Dark Legend, while the same bloody series, was a different game from Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty. He gave me the serial number, which is the same as what Satakore has listed as Suiko Enbu. Satakore doesn't mention the "Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty" title anywhere.
In the meantime, Dark Legend has a serial number almost identical to Suiko Enbu ~Fuun Saiki~. I'm thinking about just listing all three and seeing if anybody says anything.
And thank you Fast.
