Add another vote for the Acekard AK2i. I was a first time flashcart user when I got mine, and I can't imagine anything easier. Plus, there's an active homebrew modification of the software it uses, with oodles of extras and advanced features, so it's still a great card once you're past being a newbie.

Sorry, must've overlooked your post. You can't load roms from the DSi's SD card slot. You have to load roms from the microsd card on the DSTWO itself.
Slot 2 is the GBA slot found on DSlites and DSphats. So if you had one of those and had a GBA flashcart or passthru cart, you could actually store roms on them and load them using your DSTWO.

I'm thinking of getting an Acekard 2 with the profits from my eBay auction of a DQIV guide. Is there a difference for the Acekard 2 and the Acekard 2i? I have a DS Lite. Also what is a good size for a microSD card? And is this site legit:
http://www.acekard2.net/ it was the first site that came up on Google, so I am thinking it is the official store?

An AceKard 2 and AceKard 2i are the same except for the fact that the 2i works in either a DS or DSi. Since you have a lite, either one is okay, as long as you load it with AKAIO firmware.
As for where to buy it, I'm not sure about that website. I bought mine from Real Hot Stuff. They have a US site and a Hong Kong site and since I'm in Asia I bought it from HK. Watch out for fake AceKards, you have to google a bit to check which sites are reputable. (I believe GBAtemp has a guide on how to check if it's a legit Acekard and which online sites are ok.)
RHS is fine by me, I've used them twice and both times were good experiences.

Then I will probably get one there then, if they are all legit and stuff. I wouldn't want a fake one!

Does anyone know anything about the iEDGE? I've been looking at getting a flash card recently, and everywhere I looked (YouTube, google) everyone has been recommending the iEDGE. Then I listened to the racketboy podcast this afternoon, and figured I'd check out the site. I see everyone here seems to recommend the Acekard. I did some more research on the Acekard, and it seems better than the iEDGE. Any opinions?
Thanks

One thing you'll have to know about DS flashcarts is that while some may have more features than others, in the end they are only as good as their firmware updates.
I have no personal experience with the iEdge but after a quick search, it seems it doesn't get frequent updates, at least not as frequent with the team that makes the AKAIO fan firmware update for Acekard.

Good point. Thanks I'm going to get an Acekard then.
