no hdmi on launch 360?
Re: no hdmi on launch 360?
You don't need to get an elite to get HDMI both the pro and elite models have it. (does the new 60GB version have it? I've heard mixed reports)

All 3 models in the States have an HDMI output port; Arcade, 60GB Pro and Elite...only the Elite comes bundled with a cable.

Edit: I should say all current models. And I believe it is the same elsewhere?

I can second that comment. Save the HDMI for something that needs it. Most things 1080p are invisible to the naked eye anyway if you dont have a fairly large TV (42" and above), Ive never really seen a difference between compnent and HDMI other than some better sound quality via HDMI. I doubt that will be a big issue for you esspecially if your using built in speakers.Niode wrote:Ah well that's not too bad. You're better off saving those HDMI ports for things that actually need it (E.G., Blu-ray players that need the HDCP encryption to play the disc.). The 360 is perfectly fine over component. Trust me.

yes. Its very high quality too but its pointless if you dont have a sound system to back it up.raztat wrote:hdmi covers video and sound?

Just thought I'd point out that DVI is digital and not analog.NotBlaine wrote:Nope and Nope.
If you have one earlier, you're stuck with analog RGB (either VGA or DVI). Apparantly you can buy HDMI adapters, but I'm not sure of the quality of them - the point is you'll need something to transcode an analog signal to digital.
