Well, I watch a lot of movies. A lot of movies...in fact, I'll watch about anything, from German Postmodernist silent film to the latest Hollywood blockbuster. I'm a big fan of Japanese cinema especially, particularly period pieces, which leads me to my next hobby...
History. Lordofduct does math equations, I read history text books. I do have specific areas of interest, specifically Japanese history(hence my enjoyment of period film), the evolution of military strategy and technology over the last two centuries, the development of organized crime around the world in the last two centuries, and general studies in the 20th century.
I'm also in the Bujinkan, and enjoy firearms, though I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject yet.
Finally, I like to read. But then again, don't we all it seems?

I'm a big heroscape fan. That and Arkham Horror and its many expansions could keep me entertained for a very long time.Harvey wrote:I love board games, especially Heroscape and Settlers of Catan. Anyone else play those or other board games?
I'm also a huge sports fan and I'm always trying to play the guitar a little better.
Yeah, Arkham Horror! Man, that's such a great game. I need to pick up the latest expansion though...General Chaos wrote:I'm a big heroscape fan. It's a good expansion. The new characters are interesting to say the least. However, with the 2 major expansions on the table this game has become massive (and we have a big table). We just leave it out for days at a time b/c it takes so long to properly clean up. Same can be said for Heroscape, of course.Ack wrote:Yeah, Arkham Horror! Man, that's such a great game. Yea I took a class teaching VB 6.0 in my school. Bad thing is we didn't really get into advanced stuff or anything dealing with videogames for that matter. Plus our teacher went out on maternity leave half way through the semester. On top of that I got a C+ on the final. I'm in all honors classes so it really was because we weren't taught anything.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:what language are you programming in? Visual Basic? Thats currently what im practicing but im getting ready to move on to C+ shortly.Kevman wrote:"Just Track" is an understatement. I guess I needed you guys to refresh my memory of what I like.
Track-run for my scholl, actually ran a race today for our town's anniversary and whatnot.
Programming-I just started but having fun so far.
Movies
Music
Longboarding-not the surfboard. Those huge ass skateboards. I just started.
That's basically it. Nothing too abnormal.
I feel like that class was a waste.

Literature and cinema. That is all.
I haven't really the patience for fictional books, with the exception of some classic historical novels. History and strategy are my main interest, and the two are interconnected.
While I do enjoy my movies, I wouldn't necessarily call myself a movie buff. There are some well known movies I haven't even seen, and I don't tend to keep track of many recent releases. I haven't even seen The Dark Knight yet.
As with books, I like my movies to have a point, something that can be put to practical use.
If you count it as a hobby, I have what you may call 'cat communication skills' and as such am sometimes known as the "catman"

I have another hobby to add to my list: Blogging. I've wanted to try it out and I have done it over the years, but I ended up only making one post and then returning to it later and shutting it down. Same thing happen to my current blog, but I am determined to succeed this time. The link is my signature.
