Chief, I'm much more a Nintendo fan in that generation, and I KNOW many of the Genesis ports were better than the SNES's.

I believe their most recent article says it all: "It is a well known fact that we here at Old Wizard aren’t big fans of Sega. Its number one on our top 5 worst consoles list. We have Sonic on our worst video game characters list, and have fielded piles of hate mail from the hordes of unkempt, uncouth, and rather ostentatious Sega fan boys."

They're seriously a bunch of whiny little kids. The purpose of this article was to 'investigate' the 'head of the Sega fanboys' and then bitch about how he doesn't own any Sega consoles. Ie. the guy was a Nintendo fan who thought Sega deserved more credit than they were giving it.

Pretty pathetic losers. Sometimes I get riled up about the pro-Sega comments you guys make here, and how you'll start trashing some of my favorite consoles from other companies, but honestly, most of you will at least take the time to check the console out and be(relatively) polite about it.

What stuff have we trashed?

Some of us (including me) have said harsh things about Sony and their systems. Others (Ryan) have trashed the Xbox, and some (like Nateup) have said bad things about Sega and their systems.

Ok -- But I think that most of us are pretty open-minded

I personally have avoided Sony stuff just because I have bad experiences with their other commercial hardware among other reasons.
But when it comes down to it, I've only purchases Sega and Nintendo hardware because that's where the games I enjoy are.

Now now, boys and girls... remember, these lists were made to piss people off; it gets them a lot of views. For them, more controversy = more money. Yep, you read that right.

It's pretty ridiculous how close minded people hold to the view that you have to like this or that, be on this side or that side - what's the point when you can have a healthy share of both?

By the way, Racketboy...

Would those "other" reasons include Sony killing the Dreamcast all those years ago? Well I think Justice is finally catching up with them.

I actually agree with some of the points he made. But his list is STUPID and WRONG.

He was right in Sega Genesis trying to be cool, and it clearly wasn't, thats why you can buy almost every game in the entire library for $1.50 to $5. VERY few exceptions. I am not a Sega hater, I have every Sega system except the Pico. I love Saturn and Dreamcast, but the Genesis, 32X and Sega CD were a fucking joke, with the exception of a handful of titles, most of which Racketboy has included in some of his articles.

Why does everyone include Virtual Boy? The olny reason it got shut down so quick is because retards can't read instrucitons and warnings and their kids had seizures. LOL.

Cheers!

Name me some titles would you please? I can think of one, Aladin, and that had modestly better colour. Thats it. I am being serious, I played a lot of genesis growing up and a lot of SNES, I cant remember 1 title on Genesis that impressed me over SNES except Aladdin and Mortal Kombat ONLY because it allowed blood.

Definetly a bunch of sega haters no way should those systems be on their far worse stuff out there. The genesis was actually a huge hit and very good/successful so it really shouldn't be on there especiallyin first!

:o

Dude, you've been missing out - in my opinion, the Genesis has a larger library of great games than the SNES; in my humble opinion, the SNES arguably has the best games overall, but the Genesis tops it for the huge library of fantastic games.
32x I can agree with, but it did have a few decent titles (Virtua Fighter, Virtual Racing, Kolibri, and Shadow Squadron).
Sega CD actually had quite a few great titles (i.e Lunar, Snatcher, Sonic CD, Vay, Popful Mail, Dark Wizard - if you like the genre - and Eternal Champions, which isn't everyone's cuppa' tea).

You should play through the lists of great games for the Genesis here at Racketboy; I'm sure you'll find many gems you didn't know about.

 Good luck getting some of those Japanese imports for $5 (Panoram Cotton, UndeadLine, GleyLancer, Eliminate Down, Twinkle Tale, Alien Soldier, Yu Yu Hakusho etc). Also, more than a few PAL & NTSC titles go for over the price of a normal retail game nowadays (Megaman, Nightmare Circus, MUSHA, Shining Force II etc).

Sorry man, I should have specified, I was referring to all games I had access to growing up, all NTSC north american release. I am sure many imports fetch much much more. ;-)
