Sounds like Nintendo is becoming complacent and resting on its laurels, which is a pretty typical thing for them to do. How long will it be before gamers are simply playing nothing but gimmick games or twiddling their thumbs waiting for Nintendo first party titles that will take eons to complete. While all the good stuff is coming out on the 360. Isn't this pretty much the same thing that happened with the N64 and the Gamecube. Nintendo needs to learn how to be more aggressive. They made a strong entry into the next gen wars and now it's like they don't think they need to worry anymore and can just sit around doing nothing
I swear, between Nintendo's complacency and Sony's shear idiocy, it's like they're just making things too easy for Microsoft

I agree. This is one such vice Nintendo has always had a problem with - their too darn proud. They always make a momentous entry, but once they're in there, they just tend to sit on their high horse, enjoying the view.
I've actually noted elsewhere that Nintendo are making things easy for Microsoft - and as I mentioned elsewhere, I have a feeling Microsoft is going to be tailing their asses pretty close before - unless Nintendo get off their asses - eventually taking the high ground.
I'm looking forward to LittleBigPlanet
That's about it....maybe MAG if it turns out alright...but so much can go wrong with 256 people on one battlefield.

What's really sad, is that despite having the best selection of games and best online feature set, the 360 could very well end up in 3rd place this console generation. Unfortunately for this industry, all people seem to care about is number of units sold. The Wii shows no signs of stopping especially with things like Wii Music appealing to the casual market, and of course Sony has BluRay which is catching on quickly. Hopefully MS will stay focused on software attach rate, and be more concerned with having good games than having the most amount of hardware sold. Even if they do drop to 3rd, I'm quite certain their console will come out on top with the most substance this generation. That makes a winner in the hearts of minds of most gamers, instead of NPD numbers and the like.

Didn't they announce that there is a tiny dot in the middle of the screen? It gives you a fixed point in space to focus on, to help ward off motion sickness. Same technique dancers get taught...

Good. I really don't want Microsoft thinking they can get away with releasing such terrible hardware again. My 3rd 360's on the way out and i've personally had enough with the system & Microsoft in general, the 360 redefines the term 'unreliable', and while MS have a good turn around 'fixing' consoles (i.e, sending you out a crappy refurbished unit), i'm expressing my disgust with my wallet by not purchasing Microsoft products as much as I can (still a few exclusives i'm looking forward to) - nowadays the PS3's my main gaming machine because a) it looks & feels like a quality piece of kit b) it's not as loud as a small jet engine & c) in the time since i've owned the PS3, two 360's have died on me, despite the PS3 getting far more use. Microsoft don't deserve to win this generation with such shitty hardware - here's hoping the next Microsoft console is built with reliability in mind.

You remember the ps2? Those things broke all the time. Now they have learned from their mistakes and made the ps3, a stable console. At least in the meantime you don't ever have to buy a new 360, considering the three year warranty is more than enough for anybody.
Lets not forget that newer consoles are not shoddy at all. Most of my friends have the hdmi cable model and all of them have yet to break.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?
