What Series Should We Compare

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Could do Shining Force, but to add games to the mix we could compare all "Shining" games. There are certainly a lot of them.

Samurai Showdown
R-Type
Gradius/Parodius
Darius
GnG
Panzer Dragoon
Shinobi

I like the Castlevania (hell you could do a whole article about all the different versions and ports of SotN) idea but if you do every single one including all the portables it's going to be a very long article.

I say Resident Evil, Mega Man(I prefer the originals, X1 is the best of the MMX series), Dynasty Warriors/Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, the entire Mario series, and all the Metroid titles.

Thats a great idea. Lots of good stuff in the Shining series to compare. I'm all for Castlevania too. Mostly i'd love to see a shmup comparison...R-Type or Thunder Force would be good.

lol -- yeah we're talking about a series -- not ports
Batman games might be better.

Batman(NES and Genesis)
Batman Returns(SNES)
The Adventures of Batman and Robin(SNES and Genesis versions)

All good games, be nice to see them get some attention since people always say there's never been a good Batman game. The Adventures of Batman and Robin on the SNES is perfection

You totally left out Batman: Return of the Joker(GB)!

I guess those could be considered a series...perhaps a conversation about comic book based video games?

....and unfortunately how bad most of them are. I think that would be interesting, a look at comic book/video game cross-over games. But that seems like another topic entirely, no?
