DOES GAMESHARK ALOW YOU TO PLAY IMPORTS ON SATURN

Hi Guys,


I recently bought Xmen vs. Street Fighter (jp) complete w/ the RAM cart. I want to play this on my US Saturn (Version1) will a gameshark work for me? From what I've read it will boot imports but it uses the memory as storage instead of video ram. Is that correct? This is the gameshark I also just bought.

Yeah the Saturn Game shark DOES allow you to play imports.

You have to hold in XYZ when you load the game with "Start Game Without Enhancements". Otherwise it doesn't work. I just played Street Fighter Zero 2 in my NA Saturn using a Game Shark.

However it won't provide any extra memory. You are better off buying an Action replay which allows you to play imports AND has the extra 1-4 Memory. Most Saturn Imports worth playing (ie Vampire Savior) require the extra memory.

The only reason I got the Game Shark was because it was cheap.

I tried this on my Japanese copy of Panzer Dragoon, no go. What am I doing wrong?

action replays and generic import carts are not hard to find and are not terribly expensive. get one and enjoy some awesome ntsc-j gaming.

It will also fuck up your Saturn's cart slot. I highly recommend NOT using one. Get an Action Replay Plus instead. It does everything the GameShark does and more, and it wont ruin the cart slot.
