Damn, all I have is the SNES version and I've heard it screws up a lot of the game's core mechanics so I don't want to get good at playing the bad/butchered version of an otherwise good game.

Haohmaru and Genjuro

I've really been having fun with this game recently - on the Mega Drive, that is. I've completed it with Haohmaru, Ukyo, Jubei, Hanzo, Nakoruru and Galford - all the ones I like; I don't like the other ones much.
I much prefer it to Street Fighter II perhaps mostly due to the characters; there are only two characters I like to use in Street Fighter II - and they use the same moves!

My favourite to use is probably Ukyo, but I found it easiest with Galford.

In Samurai Showdown 1 & 2 my main players were Gen-An and EarthQuake, or...as I like to call him "ASSQUAKE!" Earthquake had huge air superiority with his strong attack and could dominate enemies incredibly quick if they were inexperienced.

Gen-an was my technical fighter, His smoke attack allowed me to dominate the environment and really control the flow of the game by slowing the super-aggresive players down. Later in the game series, I never really developed a good player and just stuck with playing as a bit of everyone.
