Actually, quite the opposite- I had a genre studies class that set me down a path of compulsive hard-boiled crime and science fiction reading.I've been on a Star Wars EU jag lately, tearing through the New Jedi Order books. Just started the ninth one, Star By Star. Light reading and pure escapism, but that's what I'm looking for these days.
