Picked up another Saturn game. Layer Section (quite a bit cheaper than the European and American versions I believe). I also got Full Spectrum Warrior for the Xbox.

I've gotten into original Xbox recently, acquired the following so far this year:
1. Project Gotham Racing
2. Project Gotham Racing 2
3. Burnout
4. Sega GT 2002
5. Driv3r (Driver 3)
6. Midnight Club II
7. Group S Challenge
8. Rallisport Challenge
9. Rallisport Challenge 2
10. Need For Speed Most Wanted
11. SSX 3
12. Turok Evolution
13. LOTR: Return of the King
14. LOTR: The Two Towers
And late 2025 I acquired Conker Live and Reloaded.
Just bought an original Xbox, waiting for it to arrive. Not sure why, but original Xbox really appeals to me now even though back in the day I only had a handful of games for it and mostly played Halo 1 and 2 on it and not much else.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

Great stuff and great pick ups.
The Original Xbox is an awesome system. I got into it a couple of years ago and have been really enjoying the system. They are so easy to mod too.
I don't know how good you are at soldering etc, but when you get your console, open it up and check the clock cap (they are prone to leaking and wrecking boards!). If it's still there, remove it unless you have a 1.6 rev! If you have a 1.6 and it looks bad, you will need to have it replaced. Check all your other caps and get any bad ones replaced.
Get your system modified if it isn't already, as it opens up so much and means you can do a lot more with the console. You could even upgrade the hard drive and rip all your games to it, so you don't have to worry about the disc drive or laser dying.

Thanks for the tip! Had no idea about the clock cap thing! I'll make sure to check that when my Xbox arrives (It's in transit!). Planning on at least soft-modding it, but have also been considering the Pico(?) mod and also I forgot what it's called but it was like community servers or something for Xbox Live on select games, was thinking that might be kind of neat because the vibe will be people that care enough to go through the effort to keep playing their favourite classics. I just think that will be a chill community / vibe.

Yeah, Xbox Live is up and running again via Insignia. That's as much as I know, as I haven't looked into it yet personally. It sounds easy enough to set up though.
I have heard of the Pico mod, but not sure what it is. Mine is just soft modded at the moment. Soft modding it is pretty easy to do, but mine came already modified. I redid it with the Rocky extras disc anyways though. I then upgraded the hard drive by using Chimp and hot swapping the DVD drive with a 1tb hard drive. Now I have all my games backed up to the hard drive.

1. Mario Pinball Land (GBA)
2. Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (PS2) 3. Giga Wing 2 (SDC)
I added Giga Wing 2 for the Sega Dreamcast this morning!
My Dreamcast wishlist is slowly coming to a close. I only have a few games left before I no longer will be purchasing new Dreamcast games. With the small options left, there has always been one elephant in the room and that has been Giga Wing 2. I really enjoyed the first Giga Wing and I've always wanted to pick up the sequel. I have played a little bit of it, so I know what I am getting into which should help. The thing about Giga Wing 2 is that it is very expensive. It is the last big game on my Dreamcast Wishlist, so I finally decided to bite the bullet. The price has come down a little from what it used to be and I found a really nice copy, so I decided that now was the finally the time.
Nice pick up, Markies! Giga Wing 2 (and the first game) has been on my list for a long time too. I think it's the last shmup for the system I want to pick up.
