I'm gonna level with ya, I bought it because I collect Phantasy Star stuff. The box seems to indicate it has online and offline content. I plan on giving it a go, along with the original game, later in the year.

Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2021!

1. Phantasy Star Online Version 2 (SDC)

Image

I added Phantasy Star Online Version 2 for the Sega DreamCast this afternoon!

Let's continue the Phantasy Star Online train going!!

I didn't realize there was actually a Version 2 until I was walking around a retro game store several years ago and saw it on the shelf. I had already purchased the first one, so I decided to wait to pick this one up. It took a bit of time and what was the right method to play the game, but I eventually began to love the first one. It had been long enough that it was now time to buy the second one. I'm very excited to play through the game with new content as well.

The fact that this came out over a year and a half ago and I never knew is the greatest shame and dishonor of my life. Forgive me, Goddess Purple Heart.

@Bone - That's cool. At least you can enjoy the content for Single Player. I enjoyed it, despite it not being Phantasy Star Online.

@Markies - Ultimate is so much fun on Ver 2. If you have a DreamPi / BBA, get online and hit up the Sylverant server.

A few recent acquisitions. I totally slept on the GBA back when it was hot. Went from the original Game Boy to the DS. Trying to make up for lost time now; what a cool system.

Nice pickups, guys. What is the Japanese GBA game, Bone?

....

I recently got another shipment of games from Japan:

Battle City (Famicom)
Hydlide 3 (Famicom)
Super Black Onyx (Famicom)
Block Kuzushi (GB)
Glory of Heracles (GB)
Little Master (GB)
Lunar Lander (GB)
Samurai Shodown III (GB)
Tomato Adventure (GBA)
Tetris 64 (N64)
Return of Double Dragon (Super Famicom)
Traverse Starlight & Prairie (Super Famicom)

I’m pumped for these. I didn’t even know there was a GB port of Lunar Lander until I saw it for sale.

The Japanese game is Love Hina Advance, a VN / dating sim based on the manga/anime that was a hit some 20 years ago. It has a fan translation.

Nice Japanese pick-ups. Some cool stuff there. Lunar Lander certainly has a weird porting history. Kinda surprised it's not on the 2600 in some capacity. I've got this Lunar Lander clone on the VIC-20 known as Jupiter Lander, which was oddly enough developed by HAL Laboratory.
