You can certainly find retro single-screen platformers on Steam. Your best bet would be something like the ColecoVision Flashback. Space Panic, Miner 2049er, and Jumpman Junior are all included. Likely some others as well.

And yeah... King's Field. Mentioned it in my initial post. 8)

Really solid choices again. I plumped for Square/Enix and FPDC because I have more choice in my collection for those but would not be miffed if any category won.

I went with Square / Enix and Anime. I have lots of options in either, and I figure a lot of those games will be easier to obtain for the non-emulation folks. I think all the categories are interesting, though; I almost went with the Telenet category, and I'd probably enjoy either of the other two as well. Winners all around this month. :)

I voted for Anime and Square/Enix, but honestly I think I could find something to play for all of these.

Fantastic choices this month Bone! Even after voting I'm sitting here wondering if I chose wisely. Hard to choose even just two when they're all winners!

... Or at least I'm wondering if my second choice was sound. In my heart of hearts I'm hoping for First Person Dungeon Crawlers. Team King's Field all the way baby! On the basis of Ex's enthusiasm I played the first (Japan released) game a couple of years ago and was pretty much blown away. So good. I don't really have an excuse for not having continued on with the series (other than a lengthy backlog), but maybe next month will be a great opportunity to do just that.

My second choice was Nippon Telenet (& Subsidiaries) due to the fact that there are a ton of great games in that category that I've never even touched. ... And because I'm really just hoping for some King's Field. Yes ... I voted for a less popular option in order to bolster my first choice. Fight me.

(And again there are really no losers this month; I'm going to be stoked at whatever wins :D)

I went with Nippon and first person dungeon crawlers.

Definitely some great options though.

Also, remember that I don't think you have to choose two options.

(And... confirmed.)

I voted for single screen platforms. I am alwayslooking for motivation to play old arcade games.

I have been on a saturn kick and since mine is modded (With the chip I bought here when I first joined) I have always wanted to play Magic Knight Rayearth. So I also voted anime.
