It isn't so much that people don't have the hardware, these people are claiming that they "refuse to buy a Nintendo platform" and basically the equivalent of "Nintendo is super lame, it should be on a real console"

I didn't even know that! :O I wish I had known and I would have shoved that in front of the guy moaning "it's a Playstation franchise, it should be on PS4. Clearly people defending this didn't play the games on PS2".

I think it's because after the success of Persona 3 Portable, Person 4 Golden, and Persona 5, more casual gamers became aware of the name "Shin Megami Tensei" as a side effect. So perhaps they have their hopes that SMT5 is going to be something like those Personas were, and therefore want it to be on PS4. (I would rather SMT5 be more like SMT3 personally.)
