I'll second this. I just have no will to level up each of the little things one at a time as it's overkill tedious and boring after awhile. Sure some will say you can plaster the game using just 6, perhaps you can but I find it leaves some defensive/offensive holes due to all the types and crossbreeds from GBA era forward.

Had Pokemon had the team leveling option module they finally did right in Pokemon X I'd think more highly of an honest play through of something again. X just was so dragged out and boring unfortunately.

Yeah also not angry about it. More disappointed in myself. I LOVED pokemon as a teen. But I just don't have the time or patience for the slow pace of the current games. I can see X was incredibly well made and the new style and features looked dope... but couldn't keep me interested.

I'm still a little miffed that all they did was mention the name of the game but not really show any gameplay or give more details. I'm going to attempt to play through the series beating one game each gen. Just kinda weird it was only 6 minutes long....I was expecting something closer to a decent special highlighting the 20th and the new game.(even if I'm not one of the people who cares to really worry about those stats and just wants to pick pokemon and go with it...)

Hey, I warned you!

And I saw it as I was bored and scrolling 9gag, you can't exactly expect anything but the lowest common denominator there.

The one I played most was Black 2, followed by Silver.

I discovered Pokémon at 30 years old
Similar story here. I discovered Pokemon at 33 (which I still am...). I have played and finished Alpha Sapphire so far and loved every minute of it.

Pokemon X is next on my list. I also secured a legit copy of SoulSilver that I will get to in due time.

Honestly, I don't know much about the IVs and the EVs and all. At the moment I'm not worried about competitive play or the meta game or anything like that. I just enjoy exploring the regions and catching as many pokemon as possible. I could do the pokemon bank thing but I actually enjoy catching them all over again.

Do not worry about any of that shit unless you want to go full competitive. At its most basic IVs are the idea that if you caught 100 different Zubats at level 10 they would have some stat variation between them and EVs are the idea that if you take a Zubat at level 1 and raise it to level 10, then compare its stats with a freshly caught level 10 Zubat the one you trained will have higher stats.

At a marginally more complex level, EVs make it so if you start with 2 identical pokémon, and one of them defeats 100 fast pokemon in battle, and the other defeats 100 high defence pokemon, the 1st will be a lot faster and the second will be more defensive that the other.

See and that just adds too much to the game for me. I'm fine with a pokemon yellow level game(but add the running shoes, makes me want to hurry up and beat it and get to silver). I'm wanting to play one game out of every gen(including one remake) eventually especially to go with zelda(which I'm stuck on the original).

All i want is for them to release a actual trailer than having to inspect the video and guess about it...
