Yeah you got it now there on Castlevania. I've got all 3 of them so I've never bothered owning the double pack, plus it used to be expensive (like $50+ I think.)
The arcade hits package also had Gradius and Twinbee which was pure awesome too. I just don't have a DS anymore and don't care to own them via the 3DS as I have enough already. Hell I'm considering selling off some paperweight games I can't motivate myself to finish because I find them for some odd reason boring (kirby triple deluxe and luigis mansion 2) which I adore the prequels. I've had konami arcade for the gba, it's solid shame it doesn't save which is why I no longer have it, same with namco museum and the pac-man collection too. You know another that lost more than 1/2 its value just I think in the last 12 mo was Duke Nukem Advance, used to get an easy $40, now it struggles to even be $20 shipped and it's a stunningly good game (on par with DOOM 1 and/or 2.)
Point Blank when it came out Namco shipped it out in small quantities, and even when they did ship it, they didn't ship a lot of them so it was very irregular. They didn't even bother to meet their ship date at least nationally. Where I live it' slike the 16th largest city in the US, yet it took a month for 1 copy to pop up I could find at retail, at a FYE of all things, Gamestop never got it until about a month after, and not a never as I missed it, just it wasn't even listed in their SKUs. It wasn't made in big numbers and it was distributed as poorly as possible, even by Namco standards for stupidity if it's anything but Pac-Man or Soul Calibur stuff (for that time.) If it's still cheap now, snap it up, because it doesn't suck, and once people get into DS collecting in the future it no doubt will go up.
Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
Re: Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
I forgot about the Konami GBA collection not saving high scores. That's the only issue I have with it, really. I've got Pac-Man collection too, same thing.
I got Duke Nukem Advance last month at a local store, it was $20 but I had $10 in trade so it was half price. It's graphically impressive for a GBA FPS, the developer Torus also did the Doom II port on the GBA and they did another FPS called Ice Nine.
Point Blank DS is averaging about $5 for card only and near $10 complete. That's still pretty good. My copy from Amazon was around $8-$9 complete. It's a must have if you're a fan of the series, all 3 games are represented here.

Well that's not bad at all. I played the hell out of Point Blank when I could finally track it down. When it was being tough to find for many months it was a little high on ebay for those who could take advantage so I just kept looking and it was worth it. It still makes me hate NIntendo refuses to put Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley on the 3DS.
$20 is what I saw a copy of it locally yesterday for too with Duke for GBA. And you're right, Torus did them, same engine and it's just amazing what all it pulls off. I couldn't get into Ice Nine. There was a fine GBA emulator out much of its life so I'd try out stuff I was curious about. I probably broke even saving on turds and buying stuff I would have skipped.

Not everything on the GBA is great. I've made a few poor decisions and traded in quite a few games, and got some decent values for it all so far. I'd avoid the ports of those Atari/Midway games for example, at least the Spy Hunter/Super Sprint cartridge. Totally unplayable. The port of Contra III did nothing for me either.
I did complete Konami Krazy Racers today! That was a fine game.

I love my Nintendo DS. I have an R4 card for it and it just makes it even greater!

Re: Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
Konami Krazy Racers sadly fell under the radar. That game plays better and is more fun than the GBA Mario Kart.

I agree with this man on that one.Tanooki wrote:That game plays better and is more fun than the GBA Mario Kart.
As for DS kart racers, the only two worth having are Mario Kart DS and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
I have the Castlevania Double Pack version, myself. I might have had a flash cart back in the day and didn't buy a whole lot for a while. I rectified that later. I've probably got over 50 GBA games. I also managed to snag a lot of good ones when Circuit City was clearing out their GBA stock.
Re: Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
I'm close to 50, 45 on GBA. Since I haven't listed those here yet, now I will.

Re: Nintendo Handheld Gaming Thread (Game Boy to DS)
I've got a good supply of games for GB/GBC from nothing basically a month ago.
Today/yesterday evening alone I decided to add a few more just to barely inch myself to the $5 return on ebay bucks.
PENDING FROM EBAY:
- Kirby's Dream Land 2
- Kirby's Dream Land + Star Stacker
- Game & Watch Gallery 2
- Castlevania Legends
- Street Fighter II
- Wendy Every Witch Way
This below if you choose to open it, is everything currently in my possession here for GB, GBC, and GBA. I do have a colossal list here I made today of every single GB/GBC game I've ever owned and do own all mixed together, starred the ones that weren't original retail buys and it's nuts how many I did have new in the day but I guess the price helped on that a lot. I have a sales list still over at Digital Press, if someone has some old GB/GBC stuff they're looking to dump maybe we can trade or something.
