The comics from Kaboom are well done and are all ages. Most of them have trades out.
Old arcs, pre-2000 or so are pretty all ages friendly, they can have mature themes, though.

Bone. Unless you're looking more for superhero comics.

Tiny Titans and Superman Family Adventurers are staples at my house. Imagine DC comics by Charles Shultz, Peanuts style and humor.
I highly recommend them for all agree readers.

I just got like 20 TPB's and HC's in trade and purchased about 30 back issues from CCL. Highlights are the Deadpool Omnibus, Muppets Omnibus, House of Secrets Omnibus, and Batman: Death by Design. As for reading I just finished Hellboy in Hell and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes vol 1.

Any of the Johnny DC stuff is good including Scooby-Doo Team-Up. The first trade is coming out soon. He teams up with DC characters and other cartoon characters. Lots of fun. Tiny Titans is great but nothing is currently being published so look for the TPB for a best bet.

For mainstream DC I can't recommend any mainstream stuff for kids. As much as people complained that pre-New 52 DC was too dark New 52 upped the dark and grimy to 10. The books are violent and dark. Wonder Woman and Batman especially.

I would however highly recommend the two Batman Adventures TPB's that have come out recently or are coming. These are based on the great cartoon of the same name and each contains 10 issues for $20, less if you buy them on IST or Tales of Wonder. The first is out already and the second I believe comes out in May.

Thanks for the great suggestions. Gonna start with the Tiny Titans TPB as suggested and maybe look into that Scooby-Doo one.

I remember really enjoying the Scooby-Doo comic books when I was younger.

And I love Wonder Woman, but considering they're for your kids, I'd avoid the new issues like the plague. Not because they're bad, but because they are pretty dark and violent. I don't know how old your kids are, but here's a small list of some less violent, hopefully more age-appropriate fare that you can look into. Don't know how easy it'll be to get some of them, but I hope that helps.

The eldest is 5, so she is just learning to read. Thanks for the link!

Link to list of Johnny DC titles

http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Johnny_DC

Other titles or TPB/HC stuff to look for:
Johnny Boo
My Little Pony
Littlest Pet Shop
Skylanders
Kaboom Kids titles
And there is a lot, lot more depending on what exactly you're looking for.
