I read an article some years ago that claimed we might witness the star Betelgeuse going supernova sometime soonish (soonish in space terms, not necessarily human terms). I get that my chances are slim, but darned if I don't have my fingers perpetually crossed that it all begins tomorrow! I am beyond psyched for the possibility.
In more attainable news, we've got a probe due to pass Pluto sometime this year that will give us the best photos of its surface we've ever seen.
I think what I'm trying to say is... Bogus, I understand the space joy. It's so freaking amazing!
