wow I've always been interested in 3DO (and CD-i) from a historical standpoint. But this looks like one horrible library of games.

The 3DO isn't bad. There are a couple of Micro Cabin JRPGs which are fantastic hidden gems.

3DO wasn't bad, just horribly mediocre and way overpriced.

I have a 3do too.

I pretty much have almost all the games you metioned.

Thankfully I got it for about $15 with 6 games.

Why did you guys review so many bad games in this episode? I enjoy your review style a lot more when you are reviewing good games, cause you're really excited about them which makes you interesting to listen to.

Because the video would have ended after the system specs otherwise. As someone who has never even seen the system in real life, I enjoyed the deeper look at some of the exclusives, I love importing systems that never made it to AUS, but have no desire to do it with the 3DO.

Bad game reviews are helpful too as they let you know what to avoid. For instance it was interesting for me to watch, but it solidified that I am not interested in obtaining a 3D0. I was pretty sure, but all lingering doubt has been removed.

When I was younger I loved the idea of the Soundblaster 3DO card.

I wonder if they're easy enough to find and would be compatible w/ modern PC's... probably no and no.

They used the ISA slot and drivers and things were for Windows 3 (maybe there were 95/98 ones?) so unless there have been hackers creating unofficial updates or things from scratch that's going to be a no. My motherboard I just bought doesn't even have PCI (not PCI Express) slots and ISA slots went away long before that.
