If you haven't already played it (since it was also on 360), then:

Red Dead Redemption.

It was my Game of the Generation.

Mine was Skyrim, but don't play it on the PS3. I have been told the PS3 version is buggy as hell, perhaps patches have made it better?

PS3 version of Skyrim is passable, but you have to watch save file size, so trying to do everything in one run is a no-go unless you are really careful.

PS3 is worth buying just for the digital games, honestly. Tokyo Jungle, Shatter and PixelJunk Monsters would probably be in a top 10 list of my favorite games of that entire generation.

I don't have too many PS3 games, but I also recommend Yakuza 4. The Guided Fate Paradox seems pretty good so far as well.

You could always try Sonic Generations.

Twisted Metal is criminally underrated. Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid Collection, Ni No Kuni, Mega Man 9 and 10, Infamous 1 and 2, Team Ico Collection.
