Hmm, other than Halloween on Atari 2600. I would have to say that the FEAR series because I always make it a point to play through all them in the month of October. Also, weirdly enough, Pokemon Snap as well because I got that game as a present on Halloween because I had a cold and I was too sick to go out in the chilly weather to trick or treat.. I think I enjoyed the game more than the lifetime supply of Tootsie Rolls and Mary Janes from the old people in my neighborhood anyways :).
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

Ghost Trick is another game that comes to mind.

Also semi-related, but when it comes to autumn in general I think of Metroid Prime. Not too sure why that is.

From what I've played of MM on VC i have to agree(though I can't stand using the classic controller since there's no satisfaction of putting a cart in but I don't own the cart :| ). Also have to second Ghost Trick, it's not horror by any means but the ghost portions and atmosphere make it feel Halloween-y I ought to get the ds version so I can play it since capcom will be too lazy to ever update it for iOS 8 knowing my luck....
Personally I love playing Halloween-ish games for October, and love thinking of more unorthodox choices. Sure, it's easy to name Castlevania or a survival horror-type game, but games like Ghost Trick are perfect candidates as well. Another great example I just remembered is Luigi's Mansion, too. :D

Also for MM on VC, I didn't like using the classic controller much for it. The GCN controller is a better fit, especially since the buttons are mapped to match that of TWW.

Does Majora's Mask on the Virtual Console have the same audio skips that it did on the Collector's Edition version? That was how I first played that game. The skips weren't that annoying to me, but were noticeable. Eventually I grabbed a copy on the N64 for 10 bucks and sort of restarted from there. However I haven't put much time into it so....yeah.

You are right though, it's actually a fairly good candidate for a Halloween game that isn't outright scary like Silent Hill or early Resident Evil.

For me, I usually make it a point to play at least one Castlevania game. That also includes playing through Super Castlevania IV at least once. Love that game. Last year I also went through the original Castlevania on the NES as well. This year....well, I was kinda hoping to finally get myself one of those new-fangled Metroidvania entries that everybody raves about like they're the greatest things since Eggo Waffles, sliced bread, and Barack Obama's Presidency.

Castlevania IV is a great pick. It really is the spookiest of the Cvania games. None of them are super spooky, but IV has really good audio and visual design that emphasizes a little better the ostensibly scary nature of the environs.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge

This game needs more fans!

If that works on the wii or wii u to play it then I might be more inclined to play it.....even the wii u pro controller would be 10x better...even the wii classic pro version is too awkward to play it for me...

Silent Hill PS1 and Haunting Starring Polterguy. I'll still be out of town working, so I'll play Five Nights at Freddy's if I'm not out partying with the guys.

Unless I hear terrible things I am picking up The Evil Within next week. I'm not sure why, but nobody is talking about this game even though it looks like the first legit survival horror game in a long time.

Honestly, the PS1 console as a whole reminds me of Halloween for some odd reason. Maybe more specifically MediEvil I & II and Jersey Devil. I remember crushing pumpkins in the Jersey Devil demo when I was a kid and that's stuck with me ever since. Not to mention the consoles notorious horror game library.
