Technically I think Elvis had the best voice, certainly most distinguishable, recognizable, and he sang many different styles. He won Grammys for Gospel, and he was the king of Rock. Roy Orbison is another favorite voice of mine. He just stands out.
And shoot me for this but Tom Petty is up there for me. He's not near the best technical singing voice, but I like his style.
