I was thinking more along the lines of "Top NES Games that Never Received a NES Sequel".J T wrote:Oh yeah! The Immortal! I forgot about that one. I remember staring at pictures of the Dragon from that game in a Nintendo Power and I was just dying to play it for months and months until a kid up the street got a copy and let me borrow it. I remember it being a pretty fun game, but I haven't played it in over 20 years.Luke wrote:Blaster Master

Jackal is another great choice. I only ever played the arcade version, but I liked it a lot.
Like Bone said later, Blaster Master had a sequel on the Playstation. It could be best described as "a game I tried to like out of sheer love for its predecessor." It's pretty bland and the 3D graphics look utterly terrible by today's standards.

Although it has kind-of been done already with Double Dragon Neon, I still would not mind seeing a tongue-in-cheek sequel to Bad Dudes (or Karnov).
Likewise, I always thought that Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu was one of the NES's best games, and it never received a sequel. (It was, however, ported to the TG-16.)
Finally, I was surprised that Nintendo never did anything with Ice Climber after including Nana and Popo in the Super Smach Bros. games.

(Special Cybernetic Attack Team aka crappiest acronym ever. Still an awesome game though. It’s like a flying Contra, or more accurately like an NES version of Capcom’s Forgotten Worlds, if you haven’t forgotten about that game)

Some days I still get upset that Bad Dudes doesn't have a simultaneous 2 player mode on the NES.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Although it has kind-of been done already with Double Dragon Neon, I still would not mind seeing a tongue-in-cheek sequel to Bad Dudes (or Karnov).

That fact gave me heartburn for many years. Thankfully, Data East ported Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja (ARC) to the Nintendo Wii, and I am finally at peace...Luke wrote:Some days I still get upset that Bad Dudes doesn't have a simultaneous 2 player mode on the NES.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Although it has kind-of been done already with Double Dragon Neon, I still would not mind seeing a tongue-in-cheek sequel to Bad Dudes (or Karnov).
