I don't understand Animal Planet. Am I missing something, or are you just supposed to build a life within the game for your little animal dude? I've played it, but I just don't get if there is more too it than that.
I also don't understand the Sims games. Same concept as Animal Planet?

Are you doing side missions in Borderlands 2? Stuff is paced pretty good if you do every mission and keep an eye out and keep upgrading your weapons. Sometimes you have to change them up based off the enemies in an area too.

It's because I don't own one!BogusMeatFactory wrote:We should play...but I want to hear your sweet sweet dulcet tones, "Mr. I don't use a microphone." Everything is going fine in Borderlands 2 and then I hit a point where I can't seem to get through the quests at all. I must not have the gear or the right load-out, but I can't be successful in the game. I can do FPS games, I can do Action RPGs, but Borderlands is a game series that I seem to fail at.
My tones are not dulcet. I assure you.

Then get one dag nabbit! Or maybe we should play on WiiU face chat! You have seen me and I haven't seen you. I feel like you will end up being some hot chick or something...which would make things reeaaaaallly awkward.Cronozilla wrote:It's because I don't own one!BogusMeatFactory wrote:

I feel you, if the RTS game doesn't offer the option to hunker down and fortify your defences then I'm not really good at it.Tanooki wrote:Frozen Synapse, that one I couldn't get out of the trainer either, awful and total off putting. I did what it claimed I should and still would fail it so I gave up on it as I just didn't get it either.
Another one that's offputting to me is so called RTS games, not the earliest of them but around the time of C&C2 or Warcraft 3 roughly. The earlier stuff the AI just like you had to play the same hand, develop at the same speed, and create units at a set pace. I got that and enjoyed it, but somewhere around Starcraft it got over my head and I just didn't get it anymore. I could never develop whatever tech was needed fast enough, wrangle the right things, place the right buildings, or construct supposedly fast enough as I'd just get my ass handed to me and wrecked no more than maybe 20% into the game. The only way I could ever win such games were in game cheats or trainers if they didn't exist so I could puff up an army and it still would be a little bit of a struggle (or such a blowout it was boring) so I just gave up on the stuff.

Re: Games you don't get
That's entirely my problem and the games went completely away from that with Starcraft and Warcraft3 and Tiberian Sun. Throw me in front of the first two Warcraft, Dune 2, and C&C+addon for the PC and it's on. I like to take my time, work up a wall, then make large waves of big blunt objects to pound away at the other guy while making a few scout parties to cover my ass while opening the view area of the map.
When they started adding in huge stories and active in RTS stage narratives, that whole thing got shot to shit about 20-25% into those games and I no longer can proceed at all and barely can even cheating with unlimited funds (refuse to use invincibility.)
Another I've never been able to handle at all are what I call 'hyper bitch slap button masher' fighters, both 2 and 3D kind. I'm looking at Ultimate(or not) Mortal Kombat 3 types and in 3D Tekken/Virtua Fighter and the various clones of namco and sega. They all just roll too damn fast for my taste to have any good time to think and strategize it out like you can in a SF2, Samurai Shodown, SNK vs Capcom, and so on. And then with the Tekken types where you have to memorize moves that have like 6-10+ button pushes to get the desired effect. That crap just drives me nuts and against the AI I'm good for like 1-2 fights when it ramps up as usual difficulty and then it's all over.

What is No man's sky?
I dont know what it is, if it has a story, it is open, is it linear? Does someone actually know? Looks pretty but that's not enough to get me excited.
