I think it is kinda admirable that they keep making different type of Sonic games.

Yeah the character designs are really off-putting. Everything about the characters is a little of, besides knuckles where everything is very off. The arms and legs are longer and thin, sonic's scarf....just a bit askance to make you look at it and go...huh?

Maybe it is a nod to Nathan Drake or something?

Okay, just watched the trailer.

Do not want

I think it's time for an actual Sonic and Mario crossover platformer game. Use the same concept as Sonic Generations but have levels inspired by the history of BOTH franchises. Fanboys droll worldwide. Let EAD Tokyo develop it though.

Please. Please don't let this be a thing. Strike this down in alpha, Sega! For the love of god!

I don't normally have any interest in Sonic games but this has my attention. I don't see what is so bad about it from the little we have seen so far.

Yup.

Frankly, as far as the character designs... I actually kind love them (except for Knuckles; looks like he missed leg day).

Lose the random bandages (especially over the gloves and shoes, seriously?) and get Knuckles off the 'roids and I'd be fine with the change.

I've never been a fan of the "modern" design that started with Sonic Adventure and welcome a change-up.

Tails fits with the way the character has progressed over the years, and maybe Amy will finally grow a character that's deeper than frothing fan girl.

I'm not liking it. I like classic Sonic, not the cutesy Sonic & friends stuff. And this is exactly what this looks like. And why the hell do they all have mummy wraps or whatever the hell that stuff is on their arms and feet?
