Resurrecting this because my daughter is my life. And I like kid discussions.

When my daughter was in preschool, the teacher handed me one of her drawings and said I should probably talk with my kid about it. The other kids were drawing dogs and their mom and the sun and whatever. My daughter's was a green blob with red on it and bits of lines and more red around it. I asked my daughter what it was supposed to be.

"It's a big green monster eating the people all up."

I was proud. I still have that drawing fifteen years later.
