I feel like this could be a really big deal, but I'm not sure if it's for me. I guess it all depends on how much it costs, the library that's available for streaming, and how well it works in terms of latency and video compression.

Could be cool. I would check it out.

Anyone remember that SegaTV service or whatever it was called, for the Genesis? I forget what years it was active, but I remember a friend had it and it was kinda cool.

My wishlist for the service:

- a vast, diverse library of titles. If this service has nothing but Uncharted and Resistance I will be disappointed.

- keep the content fresh. Get new titles in the library. Don't have players sitting for six months waiting for new games to try.

- some online multiplayer offerings.

- the subscription needs to have access to a majority of the available library to make it worthwhile. And I'd prefer the sub to cost no more than fifteen dollars a month.

- Like OnLive, I'd like to be able to play the first 15-30 minutes of every game as a trial.

...that's all I can think of right now.

Working good, stutters a little but I figure since the game launches so fast it needs time to get some buffer built up.

The game selection on the other hand sucks, big time LOL. Disgaea 4 is the highlight. Meh, some may think it is ok but not really the level I hoped. This is just beta though, they need to up the quality for a real launch.

Up the game quality, give a fair price and exercise a little patience with the game till it buffers a reasonable amount of data and this thing may be cool. The one thing they offer is 3 tiers of rental times. 3,7,and I think it was also 30 days. The rental does not begin till you actually launch the game the first time. You can backlog and begin your rental at a later date. You are not stuck renting and playing it right now.

I am wondering how this is gonna affect playstation plus members. Will the plus incentive drop? Will the "free" games drop in quality? Concerns me right now. I will not re-up my membership till right before it expires in order to assure I am still getting value on my plus account. This rental thing may kill plus if it becomes more popular. Why wait till a game goes free when I can rent it for a nominal fee.

I figured game selection wouldn't be that hot. I'm not sure the service is for me but if it gets running super smooth with as little input lag as possible I could see myself trying it out at some point.

I think this is definitely aimed at the non-collector and youth crowds who never got to play the old games, and now can try them until their little fickley impulsive hearts are content.

It's a slick move, since I am sure the rentals will eventually hit the $1 mark, which is substantially more attractive to kids working summer jobs, than a $5-10 purchase. Sadly.

Right, it's not just the rental it's also that the PS4 can't play some of these games otherwise.

To be quite honest now that i've got into collecting, this couldn't be any more true now.....I thought it might be a great idea, but I've got a ps2 on the way and already have a smallish library for it(which during the summer I'll be trying to get more ps2 and psx games...)

Another true part....the sad part is I'm semi-part of the youth crowd but actually collecting now but only for the games I really want and never got a chance to play so I probably won't miss out on much in the long run for the now even if I did want it until now...
