Haha, no. Considering how nearly all the DC-to-PS2 ports were nasty, I really can't imagine a DC emu for PS2 ever happening. The two systems just seem to have nothing in common, in terms of hardware.
well luckly i managed to just use that handy search function and find the answer without asking turns out making a hard-drive actually work with a dreamcast isn't an easy thing to do. im sure that replacing the c stdlib calls for things like malloc() is sound though. looks like i'll just have to hoard dreamcasts -_-
Just joined to post a correction to your article, the reason Skies of Arcaida goes jerky in the ripped version of the game is because it is compressed, and whilst running the dreamcast actually uncompresses the game to run it. You WILL also have problems playing the game because of this, most notible is the game crashing at certain gigas due to it trying to uncompress everything at once.
