That if I wait long enough, it'll show up in a Humble Bundle?

That if you're patient someone might offer it to you for even cheaper than the sale was for anyway. 8)

Got to play for a couple of hours. This game is great.

I have a question regarding plot/instadeath/etc...

In the very beginning I had 2 characters with me. One of them wanted to set up camp to rest and the other felt we need to get through the dungeon/cave now and had no time to rest. I decided to side w/ the guy who needed to rest and
when we woke up the girl had gone on without us (and stolen our water). I was hoping we'd find her in the cave and get her back, but she was gone for good. After we got out we saw the weird glowing pillars things and then the guy died. So I lost them from my party both ultimately.

My question is this: had I not chosen to camp, would I have lost him but not her? Did my decision matter at all - would she have died when we saw the pillar thing shortly after?
Anyway, I'm currently in The Keep at Cae Nua. I've got 3 guests in my party.

I actually did kill a bear with a solo level 2 character. Though it may have been a baby bear. :|

The two characters you can get in the intro are temporary characters and you lose access to them at the end of the introduction. They mostly are there to give you an introduction to the various choices and consequences you can have.

I'm now in Act II of Pillars. Fantastic game. Thinking about getting the big 500+ page strategy guide even.

It is a nice guide. Act 2 is really long.

yeah I feel like the guide could be useful. Plus, it got a pretty limited release I believe.

I'm about 5 hrs in now. Just really enjoying the game. The world feels gigantic.

I lost my Priest which is kind of rough. I need to get better at issuing commands in battle when I've got a bigger group. I had 5 + wolf in my party. So say we came across an enemy, it's so easy to just drag a box around the whole party and hit attack, but then that's stupid because the Priest would rush ahead of everyone and get wrecked. I probably need to sort out formations better and all.

Anyway, I like how open-ended everything feels in the sense that the Priest I had was a major NPC. And he's permadead. And the game goes on. It's interesting. Of course it feels like your party can be expanded any time w/ the taverns available to recruit and all. But it's interesting that major characters can just die and you no longer have those quests or bits of the story anymore.

well, it sounds like the upcoming patch will actually help me out a lot:
The first is party AI, meaning we'll no longer have to micromanage every facet of combat if we can't be bothered. We can select from several types of AI behaviour, interrupting or switching off the feature as necessary
^this will make the battles even closer to Dragon Age Origins I think. Which sounds good to me!

I'm 10 hrs in now. And those 10 hrs have flown by fast.

Strategy guide arrived over the weekend. It's gorgeous. 500+ pages, full color and crammed w/ info. More than anything I wanted it for maps.

As far as progress goes, I finished the section with the tower above the cemetery in the Heritage. Was awesome.

13 hrs in now. Just spent a bunch of time in the Sanitarium. I wish others were playing this. It's easily one of the best games of 2015 and I wish I wasn't just talking to myself in this thread.

I know Popo, JM and Sarge beat it. But everyone else should jump on it!
