I have to admit, I really want to see how far some people here can push this game, so I'm leaning towards this as well. My only concern is that, with how polarizing the game can be, that we may not see as much activity.

Thanks for the continuing input all.

I'd agree on keeping Ikaruga the way it is; the game itself demands serious attention. I only play it here and there these days, and my scores suffer as a result from it --

That isn't exactly pushing myself. Yes, the game is hard and yes I'd need to learn about the polarity a bit more, but I think with the backing of the entire RB community playing this at the same time, I'd get better at this game faster.

So we seem to be in agreement of that and another community STGT -- all we need to do is figure out the issue with the committee and we can get going here. As far as that was concerned, if I had to make a change, I'd swap out Tyranix95 with DocHauser, I know Ty does play and appear once in a while (he did post a score on Giga Wing which is the game he picked this month), but his activity throughout the year isn't as much as the rest of us. I had also tried to PM him for the GW writeup and got no response. I don't know how fast I'd get a nomination from him if we kept him either. The other 9 names have been playing a lot more this year.

DH, would you mind if you were on the committee or not? I only thought to include you because the list of names is no way set in stone year after year and you're a big participant in the STGT.

I'm fine either way. I'll be playing all the games in any case. :)

I'd swap out hashiriya1 and dsheinem for CaptainWeasel and infomercialscams, respectively.

If we do that we should swap out mjmjr25 for noiseredux. I think Bradford deserves a say, finally.

CaptainWeasel: 246 posts, last visit 2011
infomercialscams: 2 posts and doesn't even exist here anymore

Well then, I guess that means we're ready to nominate for next year.

As for DocHauser, he'll be our backup just in case Ty doesn't get back to me in a reasonable amount of time. DH will be our DH for the team.

Would the following names please PM me with the one game they want to nominate next year:

dsheinem
dunpeal2064
mjmjr25
noiseredux
EllertMichael
foxhound1022
pierrot
hashiriya1
Tyranix95
DocHauser (if Ty doesn't get back to me Doc, your pick will be used so PM me too)

I'll also PM fox and hashi since I haven't seen them here yet.

Think it over and you have some time but I hope to get this all done by the end of the week. Once I get all the picks, I'll reveal them here and we'll see the results of this shmuptatorship.

Let's see some good games!
