Correct, a follow-up to Cabal, but straight joystick and 2 buttons.

How does Cabal work in MAME - has anyone played it there? As I recall, it was one button and a trackball?

Cabal in my MAME is labeled "Cabal joystick version" not sure if some Cabal cabs had a joystick or if this rom was modified fore MAME but it plays great with my arcade stick.

Correct, the original used a trackball and 2 buttons, but there is a joystick variant out there, and MAME can play it like that. I think BB works better with the stick.
