Doesn't look much better than GTA5. And the gameplay sans the hacking is even less fun. Even with the delay they couldn't get the vehicle handling right. Ubisoft!!

Maybe we have to wait for the second game in the series like with AC to see the series reach its true potential....either way, going to give this game a pass

As someone from Chicago and doesn't buy new games, I'm still excited about this game. Big time.
I doubt the game will allow me to have a drink at the Palmer house or ride the blue line to Jefferson Park, but getting to "visit home" in my living room gives me a nostalgia boner. I really hope this turns out well. And fun. A well of fun.

Coming from a small town in the UK, I will never know what that experience feels like. I can't imagine how cool that must feel. The closest I experienced was when Metropolis Street Racer came out and it featured really accurate reconstructions (for the time, at least) of London.Luke wrote:As someone from Chicago and doesn't buy new games, I'm still excited about this game. Downloaded the game last night and have been playing for the last hour or two. Just had my fifth random crash.
Seems like every time I go into or near a tunnel the game stops responding and boots me to the desktop
.
Also hearing reports of saves getting lost/corrupted in both MP and SP.

Re: Watch Dogs delayed till 2014
So I am really curious if this will even run on my old rig. I have a GeForce 8800 GTS with 640MB ram which has been able to run everything that got a PC port from the last console gen just fine, usually looking slightly better than it would on PS3 or 360. Since this is a cross-platform game that was still ported to those old consoles, I am hoping that this old card will still give me a stable experience at lower levels.
Anyone heard much about Watch Dogs' scalability to the low end? Much of what I've read has focused on its ability to perform on high-end cards...
EDIT: yeesh the minimum specs leave me in the dust on several measures. I'll give it a go anyway...

Seattle in the latest inFamous is like that. It's more of a feel thing though, lots of things are gamefied to be in different spots and whatnot. Still cool though.Luke wrote:As someone from Chicago and doesn't buy new games, I'm still excited about this game. Big time.

Verifying my files again game got to a mission which requires me to go over a bridge and it crashes about midway across every time
.
Uplay found a "number of corrupt files" it is repairing them now. Hopefully this gets rid of my bridge and tunnel issues
