Demon's Souls actually sold very well - it is a Greatest Hits title on PS3. Dark Souls sold well enough that there is a sequel due to release in March 2014 (Dark Souls 2). Whether it is forgotten or not, the games are must-own titles for fans of the genre. He asked for games to add to his Play List, so that's what I recommended.

When I hear people rave about the new Animal Crossing, it sounds similar in a lot of ways to the Viva Pinata games but gets far more attention. I've never actually played an Animal Crossing game though. Viva Pinata was really on the wrong console. A system built around tough guys with guns is no place for a cutesy, Nintendo feeling game like Viva Pinata.
Viva Pinata is excellent! I too am bummed that this will probably never get another sequel. Throw it on the heap with other MSFT IPs that are probably dead forever. Like Voodoo Vince. :(

What is the difference between Demon's Souls and Dark Souls?

I am sure some one answered me here before but I forgot his answer and I tried to search for it but I got back to this thread...

Dark Souls is the sequel to Demon's Souls, so Dark has updated graphics, items, character classes, and a new world. Both are fantastic though, and Dark Souls II seems just as awesome so far.

Folklore and 99 Nights comes to mind immediately as games that got strong reviews/followings and carried the "next gen" early.

... and of course one of my favorite games ever Heavenly Sword, was killed in the crib before it got a chance to blossom. Man what an awesome story that was cut short and had rushed gameplay elements due to Sony pressures to release. Damn shame.

Heavenly Sword was great! They're making a movie of that.

In name only, I think?

Even though everything else is yeah, obvious, I forget if they are technically related or not.

The biggest key difference if you ask me, is that Demon's has a main HUB world an is level based, whereas Dark is more Zelda, Metroidvania-esque and has a huge seamless interconnected world. It's definitely way bigger, but there are things I love more about Demon's and vice versa. Both are incredible.

Xeo, if you like the original two Souls games, then you need to play Dark Souls II as well- the game is fantastic. I have 16 hours in already and I've only had the game for two days. Addictive isn't the word for it, haha. Really though, it's as great as the previous games. I'm ecstatic that we have this trilogy in this day and age.

I was this close to say something like this... past me just beat me...

So yeah i think demon and dark souls should not be on a lit tittled "forgotten games".

I feel alice madness returns will be forgotten, it already is. I really really really need to get a copy of this.

It wasn't even a question, heh. Getting it for sure. Though I had no idea it was coming out this week so that surprised me, I'll have to wait a bit until I have more money lol.
