Really you just should not be so worked up about it and move on. As stated, it is just games and a poll about fictional characters on a site that caters to a pretty low common denominator.

You don't see me making dumb threads because Commander Keen lost to Solid Snake or because a classic character I cherish got beaten by a JRPG character I think looks stupid. It's just a silly poll that GameFAQs does every years to get some traffic.

I dont play WoW anymore, but I dont think that is the general consensus. It has a strong hardcore raiding and PVP scene. While it has aged and lost some subscribers, it is still a nearly 10 year old game with millions of players that many other MMOs have tried to emulate.

Love it or hate it, WoW can't be considered a joke. I have seen that most of the competitive online gamers dismiss most anything but th 1 game they are currently competing in.
