Do the enemies scale with you or something?fastbilly1 wrote:Im at level 44, two levels in Gold, one in Charon, and both Bounty and More Gold Drop runes equipped - Ack you should know me better than that... Rogue Legacy

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Ah, no. You'll be fine. While the game does level, it seems to be relatively consistent about it throughout, regardless of your level. It's when you beat the game that things become interesting, because all enemies go up a tier in their Type. By New Game+2, everything is at the highest tier, so it's actually easier to rush through and tear down the bosses than it is to fight your way through.fastbilly1 wrote:Im at level 44, two levels in Gold, one in Charon, and both Bounty and More Gold Drop runes equipped - Ack you should know me better than that... So now I run into as many Pupil eyes as Scout eyes. And the first room I entered on one of the castles had the two mini boss ghosts - Amon and Barbatos
Re: Rogue Legacy
It also depends on what section of the castle you are in, as certain enemy types will appear more in certain areas. For instance, you'll rarely see the first type of eyes (the Scout, I think) in the Dungeon section, but this is meant to be explored after you've finished the Castle, Jungle, and Tower sections. Minibosses can appear in any section, though certain ones I have only ever seen in certain areas, such as the giant portrait miniboss or the spitting flowers one.fastbilly1 wrote:Yes.Stark wrote:Do the enemies scale with you or something?fastbilly1 wrote:Im at level 44, two levels in Gold, one in Charon, and both Bounty and More Gold Drop runes equipped - Ack you should know me better than that... If anything, the clown is the most annoying part of the game for me. I've never beaten either of his games, though I have gotten 89/100 targets multiple times with the axes. The only achievements I have left to get in the game is to beat the clown's game and acquire every blueprint.
By the way, once you've gathered all 55 runes, the fairy chests will give upgrades instead.

Re: Rogue Legacy
For the clown, there are two tricks to getting them. If you stand on the ramp and throw your secondary item it will hit them and not cost you a throw, your throws only count once you go in the room. Or, if you have conflux, throw the conflux before you talk to Booyan, then go into the room, the conflux will kill most of them.
Ive only seen the axe game, and beat it twice so far.

Re: Rogue Legacy
Hmm, I was unaware I could do that. I figured since the devs had removed the ability to use special abilities, like the Spellsword's uber magic or the Barbarian's shout, that I would just have to do this the "legit" way.fastbilly1 wrote:For the clown, there are two tricks to getting them. The knife throwing is much harder, in my opinion, since the targets vary in speed and distance away, and you must jump before making your throw each time.

Re: Rogue Legacy
I picked it up Thursday night because of the sale. Up until the point where I went to bed this morning I played 21 hours through the weekend. *cough*
The axe clown room is fairly easy. I've only missed it once and that was only by 1 or 2 targets. The daggers one is nuts though. I think I got 6 on my best try.

I think I saw something about a bugfix removing the shout's affect on the room.Ack wrote:Hmm, I was unaware I could do that. I can confirm they did. I've tried the trick myself.Hobie-wan wrote:I think I saw something about a bugfix removing the shout's affect on the room.Ack wrote:Hmm, I was unaware I could do that. As an aside, Tettix, who did the soundtrack has plenty of nice music for free on his website. Seeing him on there was a nice "cool, I know that guy's stuff".
