I understood very little of what you just said.
Although like I did mention before, I watched Knocked Up not too long before Juno and I made no connections other than a pregnancy being involved...

Don't you remember Daria? I'm not gonna lie, I watch an episode here and there, but if there were an episode of Daria where she was pregnant, it'd equal Juno.

Maybe I'm too old. I don't watch MTV or anything like that...

Don't get me wrong, nor do it. MTV used to have their "Oddities" section where they showed shows like Daria, the Maxx, The Head, Beavis and Butthead, etc- all cartoons. That was back in the mid 90's though, and of course a lot has changed since then.

Well, if you ever have time, try to snag an episode. The Maxx was awesome as well, especially if you've ever read the comic.

Yeah, it's all good. And Daria was introduced in Beavis and Butthead.

Has taken a nice spot on my top 10 all fav movies ever! Amongst other great titles as "Alien", "Amelie", "4 Weddings & a Funeral", "Tideland", "The Fountain"... and a couple others.
Jesus, even you? Hmm...they must be putting something in the popcorn...
nothing in my popcorn... watched it in my house with my friends. Maybe there is something in the cigs I smoke. I also watched Bucketlist last night, it was fun as well.

I'm sorry, but this movie is lame.

The only thing that was good was that it stared the girl from Hard Candy, which I thought was really cool at first, but then it hit me that I wasn't watching Hard Candy, so it had less of an effect.

The movie was basically this- Knocked Up with an adoption twist staring MTV's Daria who thinks she's better than everyone else because she's different. The only other part that I liked was the adoption dad- minus all that Kurt Cobain bullshit. I was enjoying the name drops of (the) Melvins, Wizard of Gore, and even from that pissy-b*tch Daria-like character of Dario Argento and Susperia.

There ARE better movies out there, we don't always have to dig the teen-angster flicks.

(PS. I do like Daria, but that doesn't matter here).
Yeah, there are better movies, and we don't always have to dig the teen-angst movie. But I don't know, I haven't really located a teen-angst movie out there really. I like "SLC Punk"... but not that much.

I watched "Knocked Up", I giggled, it was all right. Nothing that I would call home about though.

I watch a lot of movies, I enjoy a lot of movies, I call my mother after I see a really good movie and tell her to watch it. This movie had me falling over laughing, had a really good soundtrack (come on 'Moldy Peaches'), the actress did a really good job acting, and it was just corny enough to make me smile in the sappy bits. The thing is, I'm a fag, a VERY big fag. Sorry to let anyone else down here... I'm a fag! When it comes to movies and books. I like a movies that make me cry, think, smile, roll over laughing, close my errors in embarrassment, make my heart thud, and shiver in fear. Not to say "Juno" was all of those, but it certainly filled that smile/roll over laughing/embarrassment bits/make my heart thud parts. And I won't just tell my mother to see it, I'll demand she sees it.

Just like I demanded she see, "No Country for Old Men", in which I balled my eyes out at the end (if you don't know why, well you have no fucking soul... and can't see something truly awesome in disguise as a murder flick).

On to my review of it:

Meet an enigmatic little cunt rag who just like a lot of other stupid teens, thinks she is the greatest thing to grace God's Earth and no one knows more then she does. Oh and then she gets knocked up like a stupid little bitch she is, by the town dweeb none the less. Meet all the weird families that are broken just like all other families in the country, meet the kids at school who are just as lifeless and conceded as all the real people in the world, and enjoy the shit they give each other. This isn't Will Farrell acting like a retard like usual, or Jim Carey hopping off the walls. It's just your usual dramatic comedy with a well written script, plot, and strange cast.

Yeah it's a teen-angst film... is that bad? Not in my opinion... it's not all about teen-angst, you just have angst filled teens in the movie. Which is pretty accurate for the roles, teens ARE angst filled. The movie isn't about their angst, it is about their stupidity and how they don't know all the answers in the world. If you ever were a teen and did stupid shit that helped you grow up... well then you probably can relate to these people.

And that is what I look for in a movie. Can I relate to these people? Do I feel for the characters? And most importantly do I care what happens to them? If a movie can't do this for me, then either I'm watching Alien, or I hate the flick!

and if you dare ask me how I can relate to the characters in "No Country for Old Men", I will explain right now. I can relate well to most of the characters in the movie. The movie isn't about a killer, the movie is about accepting something... the final passage in the film as the credits are about the roll sums up what the movie really means. And that passage there was very moving.

Good morning everyone, I just woke up!

I back Racket and lordofduct. Great film. The cast is great (which, if you have seen Arrested Development, should be obvious) I don't know how you can relate this film to Knocked up..it isn't the same at all. The Moldy Peaches can get a little irritating after awhile (even though I do like the band) and it isn't sappy in the least. All in all, definitely backed. :)
