It's crazy how many big name games Game.com and R-zone got when you count in all the cancelled games, considering how much all of those games sucked. Duke Nukem, Nights, Sonic, Mortal Kombat, SOTN, Panzer Dragoon... that list read likes a whos who of mid 1990s gaming&popular culture.

This.

I only ever played the thing if I was REALLY bored. Could barely see anything unless the room was pitch black, and even then the controls were terrible. So much potential...

I had a few that came and went. My cousin mostly had the big-game themed ones like Gauntlet and Mega Man 2 and 3. I had weird ones and mostly off brand ones. My favorite though was Harley Davidson: Road to Daytona

You had to drive a motorcycle for 99 "miles" to Daytona Beach on what has to be the world's most dangerous highway full of deer and slow-moving traffic and car parts and oil slicks and anything else they could fit on the tiny screen.

On top of that you had either the world's smallest gas tank or world's most inefficient motorcycle. Periodically gas pumps would appear that you'd have to stop at. If you missed them you were screwed. I'm pretty sure there was also a timer of some sort so you had to go fast.

This thing was noisy too. They decided to try and emulate motorcycle sounds and man was it loud and grating. You could turn it off of course but there was this glitch that every so often it would turn itself on again (and refuse to turn off for a period of time) which made things awkward if this happened when playing it in otherwise quiet public places.

There were some cool touches to it like all of the gauges at the bottom of the screen and a rear-view mirror.

I eventually beat it, got my "Welcome to Daytona" sign as a well earned reward.

I had this one and it was so much fun!!! One of the few Tiger Handheld games that felt like a real game besides a dodge obstacles and hit enemies for points. I loved it!
