Me too. 800mb download so not too bad. Word is it unpacks to a total size of 1.5gb, so keep that in mind those of you with no external drive and a basic WiiU.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Just saw the game pop up, downloading now! Very curious to see how things differ. We will see!

I'm excited about this one, too.
But I've got ask, what's the "New" in New Super Luigi U? There never was an original Super Luigi.

I don't know.
What I will say, is even in the first few levels, it's extremely easy to see this is going to be a much more difficult journey. The Luigi physics take some getting used to but boy can you run through the levels fast if you know what you're doing.

Yeah got through the first set of world so far. The stages are a lot shorter, but you have less time and they are a LOT more challenging. They utilize a lot of tricks to get the star coins, like utilizing turtle shells in very precise timed throws. Also, get ready for the motion of the ocean as there is a LOT of movement. Platforms sway, rolling hills and cogs galore.
They pulled out all the stops on the challenges for this game and I like it. I don't expect to get 99 lives at the end of this venture.

Do you guys think the physical release will be readily available for at least a few months?

Well, now that Nintendo is not only releasing a single disc with both games, but packaging it with a deluxe Wii U, are you pulling the trigger?dsheinem wrote:What are the odds of a re-relase GOTY edition with both games on one disc? That sounds like the kind of game I'd buy a Wii U for.

And these games look way better than the other NSMB games I've dabbled into. It's strange because typical Mario games that follow the formula of the old ones up to SMW / Yoshi's Island can completely hook me in, but those NSMB games never did after an hour or so.
Hopefully these are different and feel a bit more fresh or something.
